My vet said 1800 pet meds was shady but they would leave the decision up to me. I decided to buy the product from the vet even though it cost me $75 more. They said I would lose the heartworm guarantee from the manufacturer by purchasing it online. I

Pets have plenty of needs, and they can sometimes cause quite a bit of shrinkage in the thickness of ones wallet. This is especially true when pets grow older and need special drugs to keep them healthy and functioning. One place that sells pet

Easy to navigate ordering/Great value!

I ordered the K9 Advantix I have used for the last 2 years for my dogs this spring from 1800PetMeds online service. Although my vet has always been very comparable to online ordering services, with the coupon code I found online, I saved about $35!! The medicine came within a few days and is the same product I would have gotten if I would have driven to the vet at a better price!

My shopping experience has been a nightmare to say the least............ I was led to believe PETMEDS contacted my vet and he would not authorize the Interceptor I ordered when in fact I called my vet and he's never heard from you people... I will never order from your company again because its more of a headache than a help........ So in the future I will go through my vets office. Cannot begin to tell you how dissatisified we are with your services. I do thank you for sending me the k9 advantix for them but I also needed the interceptor as well....... one without the other is useless for us.

Worst online ordering experience ever!

Horrible! After waiting for over 2 weeks for my phone order of Heartguard, I emailed Customer Service. They replied that maybe they had the wrong veterinarian as they were not successful in obtaining a prescription. They said that I should call them again to give them the information AGAIN. I responded to the email stating that they should have contacted me about this issue earlier. I told them to forget it. Our dog needed the meds now. Poor customer service! They responded to my email with 'Thank you'. I WILL NEVER PLACE AN ORDER FROM 1800PETMEDS AGAIN!

Once a year, in order to encourage pet owners to make sure their animals have their shots, especially rabies, theres a drive-through clinic locally at the fairgrounds. This way, getting annual shots only costs about $35 for each animal. Im

Horrific Customer Service Experience
by brooklynkate, August 2, 2007

I placed an order - my first - with 1800petmeds.com over a month ago. The order never arrived although their online tracking showed the shipment as having been delivered. I wrote an inquiry to Customer Service and never received any response. One week later, I thought to check my order status on the site and found that they had sent a replacement order - which would be fine if they had informed me this was happening. I then checked with my credit card company and found that 1800petmeds had, without my authorization, CHARGED the second order to my card! I was refunded a day later, but the second shipment likewise never arrived. Again, tracking showed it had been delivered but not so. I wrote a missive to Customer Service, again, asking for their help and ending with the sentence "Thank you for your continued attention to this matter." Their response? "YOUR WELCOME." Misspelled and in complete disregard to my query. I will never order from, or recommend, 1800petmeds.com to anyone again.

1-800-PETMEDS can be a waste of money, and can very well be harmful to your pet. While it may be cheaper and more convenient, you are potentially putting your pet at risk. This company is actually not completely legal. Nothing there is monitored for

Ask your vet for a script for your pet's medications and fax in.

Ms Healy, of course your vet is going to say he never heard from PetMeds, and you did exactly what he wanted you to do: shop from him. He knows PetMeds faxes then calls every day to get the authorization in your behalf. He just let you and your pet down because of his unethical behavior and greed and made himself richer.

Petcarerx.com has the lowest price on interceptor!
I checked with 1800petmeds.com first and they were about $7 more. Free shipping on both. |

I work at 1-800-PetMeds

I work and have ordered from 1-800-PetMeds for six years. I have never seen a company more committed to customer service (except maybe Bank of America) I have shopped other pet related stores online and have found no place close to PetMeds when it comes to guarantees and service. This place guarantees complete satisfaction, from your pet's product to delivery to customer care. I mean, if you order a medicine and you want to FedEx two day (after veterinarian oks script) and you do not get it in two days, its on PetMeds! (Even if it was the fault of FedEx in your not getting it on time.)PetMeds takes full responsibility for your care and strive to make it the best possible

Horrible customer service. Never recieved order

My experience with 1-800 pet meds was not a good one. I moved 2 months ago, so my billing address and shipping address were different at the time of the order. This company got the two address mixed up, sending my order to my billing address. I never recieved the item, and when I complained to the company as this was their mistake, they never replied.

higher price for returning customers

I have been a 800 Petmeds customer for some time but today I went on line to order Heartguard. Selected it first, $67 for a 12 pack for 100lb Dogs. Ok, then signed in to check out. Got distracted at work. Later went back in, signed in first, selected the EXACT same item and the prices was $74? Signed off, selected the item,, $67. Signed in, the price? $74.
Great way to treat your customer base. I closed my account at once. I'm sure I've been overpaying for years everytime I shop there. Bad business practice and very shady. |

This place had very easy ordering. I was shocked when the package arrived the next day. The prices are average to cheaper than average.
After ordering though, I was receiving phone calls as a reminder to refill my order of frontline, which I didn't want to do. I found this annoying. |

Quick & easy ordering of products for my dogs
by onederwhy, September 26, 2005

I live in a sub-tropical climate and have to protect my dogs against fleas year-round. I use 1-800 Pet Meds because their pricing on Advantage flea drops is $5-10 cheaper than at my local pet store, and it's so easy to use.
I have become a big fan of their quick re-order service. Every four months I receive a reminder in my email to come back to the site and re-order the flea repellent. Within just a few clicks the order is placed and on its way. They will always send me an email to let me know the order has shipped. My order nearly always qualifies for free shipping. They ship USPs Priority mail and I generally get my order within 2-3 days. One thing I noticed is that the price of my products in the re-order system was about $6 cheaper than the advertised price on their site. While part of me wants to believe that they are giving me a "steady customer" discount, it is probably more of a database issue where the price went up on the retail system, but the items held in re-order were not repriced. I'm not complaining, every dollar counts! |

Poor Customer Service!Took my cat to the vet today for his annuals said they don't carry Revolution to call 1800 PetMeds & order. Thought no problem except so far I've been only holding for 1hr & 25 minutes. Good thing I have two phones where I can keep swaping between phones. I'm going to hold for as long as it takes & let them know a thing or two....This is crazy! Anyone else have any suggestions on where I can do to order? I did see online a company called Canada vet.com they were even cheaper($17.00)for the same order with free shipping. Has anyone every ussed them?? Still holding & Thanks for listening. I needed my dog's medicine fast and thought I'd give them a try. Not only was my order delayed, but when I called their customer service, they told me it was delivered when in fact it was not. My order did not arrive until 3 weeks after I placed it, and by that my dog had run out of pain medicine. I thought their higher prices would guarantee fast shipment, but i was wrong. Disappointing to say the least. I will not order from this company again.
