Just ordered some contacts and the online service was great. They price matched a competitor and still gave me an additional discount. The online support person was great, she guided me through the ordering process so she could give me the best deal, walked me through scanning and emailing my prescription to make things faster. I am pretty impressed. I have used them for a couple of years and I've had good experiences but I was looking for a better price this time around. Glad I asked them before I ordered from the other website. All in all, I saved $78 on my Frequency 55 Toric. Will definately order from them again.

I bought contacts and received numerous discounts from them. There was a rebate that they were offering and I had forgotten to inquire about it at the time of the order, though it was supposed to automatically be sent out with the package. I called the day it was to be shipped out and was reassured that the rebate would be sent out and to call if there was a problem. When I didn't receive it and called back, the woman stated that they had given me more discounts than they were supposed to originally and despite having promised to send the rebate out (which they admitted had been done because they were so psychotic as to listen to the previous phone recordings to confirm this), they still refused to honor their promise of sending the rebate because they felt that I had already received enough discounts (a poor justification). While they're seemingly attentive to your issues, they don't always honor their word, so be careful.

I immediately called the store to cancel after noticing that they were the most expensive price online, they offered to match, but I never got a credit. Then the Dr. didn't approve the amount of contacts I was ordering and it took them 3 days to get the order out again and they charged the full amount again the 2nd time, only to find out that now the store they were matching raised their prices today, and now they won't match it. They offered to cancel, but now I've been waiting a week for contacts and I missed out on another stores special while they took their sweet time.

1800Contacts.com's beat any online price guarantee is great. I can find the lowest price online and still get my contacts from a trusted company with exceptional customer service (very, very friendly and helpful)! I used their "click here to have a representative call you immediately" feature and it really worked (several times in a row, too). The representatives were always very understanding and honored the prices I found.

I ordered some contacts at the end of November. I needed them for a vacation 1 month later. Three weeks later they still had not arrived (Christmas & International Order) I called them and got a customer service rep right away.
I explained my situation to the rep and they sent me a new order with express shipping for no extra charge. They are also allowing me to return the original order if I do not need them. |

I ordered several times from 1-800 Contacts and I've never been less than very pleased. The prices are good, and the web site is easy to use.
I faced two tests of customer service, and each time they exceeded my expectations. The first time, I made a mistake entering the prescription (substituted a + for a -). I called them apologetically but they instantly sent replacements which arrived in two days and included a free shipping label to return the original ones! This required no convincing on my part. The second time was arguably more remarkable because I just got LASIK and thus no longer need contacts. I still had two unused boxes. They didn't need to make me happy any more since I would not be a customer any longer; nonetheless, they are sending a free label and crediting me for the boxes. The only snag I hit once was when the optometrist's office was not cooperative with them in confirming my prescription, no doubt trying to get me to pay more directly to them. I got it straightened out, and the other times there was no problem. |

When I called to order my lenses, I was told they'd arrive in 1 week. When they arrived, they were a different lens than I ordered, calling back 1-800, said my lens had been discontinued and a different lens was substituted. If I didn't like them I could return them, but if I opened them I owned them! What a hassle!
