Nice leather sandals however their service is awful and they are not completely honest.Today is June 25th. I placed an order and received a confirmation email dated June 16th when I went to check the status they show the date of the order placed as the 17th.(they must be psychic) They sent me an email saying my order had shipped,here see for yourself. I am located in south Texas, maybe by Christmas??

Absolutely Horrible!! They told me I clicked on an advertisement on their web site when I did not and billed me $10.00 for it. I told them I did not think I had and if I did it was a mistake. They refused to take it off my bill and I refused to pay it. I sent them a certified letter saying explaining what happened and refused again to pay the bill. 2 years later, after not hearing from them. I get a letter from a bank who says I owe now $61.42. Then $10 plus interest. I thought they were joking. I immediately called the CS number and was told nothing would be done. I am floored that this company would not take this off my statement especially when I am a perfect customer. I mean I don't have ANY credit card debt-EVER! SO I am telling everyone DO NOT SHOP HERE!! I am from Tx and my family is huge like the state. SO needless to say they lost a heck of lot of customers. I just hope it was worth the $60 bucks!!!

Love the clothes, however their customer service is way below average. I placed and order 2/14 and got an email 2/15 stating the order had shipped. When I went to UPS to track the order I found out the order didn't actually ship until 2/19. I was upset that I was misled and was provided with false information. I emailed Chadwicks 6 times asking for an explanation and requested my $9.99 shipping be refunded. Twice I got an email with the tracking # but no answer. Once I got an email that said "sorry but this happens sometimes" and the final time I got an email saying thanks for your comments. They never addressed my request for my shipping charges to be refunded. I shop at Chadwicks often, but I am very surprised at their lack of customer service. I order from Overstock.com on 2/14 also. My order arrived within 4 days and I only paid $2.95 in shipping. I expected better of Chadwicks.

They said they shipped something I never received and the tracking number they gave me was invalid. I don't believe the item was ever shipped. Then I had to wait 20 days to declare the package LOST, after I had been charged for the item. This was part of a uniform for my daughter's band concert in Europe. Needless to say she had to go without the blazer from Chadwicks (we ended up buying one elsewhere). I have made at least 8 calls to their customer service department (they conveniently make their 800 number next to impossible to find on their web site) to straighten this mess out. In a time when customer service is KEY to good business, Chadwicks definitely fails and should be avoided.

Terrible customer service. They sent me the wrong item. I called their "customer service" department as soon as I received it and I told them that they sent the wrong item. The woman I spoke with said she would activate the UPS label included in my shipment with no charge to me. I sent it back and weeks went by with no word of receipt or credit from them even though I tracked the return through UPS and they had indeed received the package just 2 days after I sent it. I sent them an email inquiring about my credit and I got a note back saying that they don't refund shipping costs. I tried to respond through their "convenient link" in their note that (again) Chadwicks had sent me the wrong item so I shouldn't be charged any shipping but of course the link didn't work so I sent a separate email. I got a generic response which showed that they didn't even read my email. I'm still trying to get my credit.

Bingo!! I just got my my order yesterday! This is the first time I've ordered from Chadwick's of Boston. It arrived on the exact day it was supposed to. And, the best part is that I just love, love, love the four summer dresses I ordered!!! They fit perfectly and I was impressed with the quality of the fabric and the construction of the garments. In the past I've ordered from other catalogs and the length of the garment wasn't as stated in the description. Each dress was exactly the correct length....I checked!!! Also, I've paid twice as much for similar dresses in the past. I'm 58, and frankly don't like the hassle of shopping at the malls, so for me, shopping on-line was just the ticket!! I also liked the easy tracking of my package. I would recommend your catalog to anyone. I certainly was pleasantly surprised!! Thanks again for your fine service.....and I look forward to shopping your catalog in the future!

I ordered a spring dress and a camisole w/cardigan in January. The website was easy to navigate (although it is wise to search for the item in the "sale" as well, since sometimes you can find the same item at a lower price) and the order was easy to place. I also had an online $10 coupon (online discounts for Chadwicks are frequent). I received an email confirmation in 2 days (yeah, the confirmation was a little slow, but I ordered over the weekend). I was displeased to see that the order was shipped USPS, not UPS, (although Chadwick's claims to use both carriers)so there was no way to track it online. However, the package arrived in 10 business days and I was delighted with the items. The dress was adorable and the camisole set was very cute. I spent a total of approximately $60 (including S&H)-- which I felt was a very good price for such well-made items.

Chadwicks catalogues do not show you how horrible their sizes and material are. DO NOT ORDER from this company. I ordered a winter jacket and winter wrap and was mortified by the products that arrived. The "petite" jacket went to my feet, I am 5'2" and the shoulder pads were 2 inches wider than my shoulders. I am a size 4-6 normally and the size 2 jacket was swimming on me. The winter wrap looked more like a wide scarf and was extremely thing and see through. The color was an yellowish off white, it was listed as cream. I could never wear it as a cover up on a chilly day. Most of the clothing you will order will come in bad hues of colors or the material will be incredibly thin and wear down easily. If you want clothing at a good price buy sale items at a better retailer. The company makes you pay for shipping on all returns, even if it is their fault. I ended up without any items and had to pay $20 for shipping.

NEVER believe it when you see a "bonus item" displayed on the front of a Chadwick's catalog. I placed an order assuming I would get the FREE straw bag. Several days later when when I received an email stating that my order had shipped, the bonus offer was listed as "cancelled". Upon inquiry, the email I got back stated that "sorry -- quantities were limited". I had a horrible experience with Chadwick's several years ago and decided to give them another chance. Bad move! I will never shop there again.

Overall- terrible. Everything I have ever ordered has been backordered and then re-backordered again. They can not issue credits correctly- I've had credits for returned items that have been $5-$10 less than what I have sent back and it never got corrected.

Ten years ago I was a great fan of Chadwick's of Boston but stopped ordering from them when my life was caught up in family and a tight budget. After receiving a catalog from Chadwick,s saying they want me back, I decided to order a winter coat from them. I agree with all the opinions stating that the customer service is TERRIBLE. For three days they have told me the item I ordered had been shipped, but I never received a e-mail confirmation, or tracking number. The final straw (after numerous phone calls with customer service telling me the item had been shipped)was when a supervisor said and I quote, "Your order was probably shipped." Unbelievable! I will never shop with them again!

I am very disappointed in quality of service. I have shopped Chadwicks for several years but NEVER will again. I ordered Cashmere sweaters and was promised free express shipment- did not get it. Sweaters arrived late for a party and one is already pilling. Chadwicks apologizes but does not make it right. Also, I have a hard time getting longer length pants in my size and the product quality has gotten inferior. I had to return several items last order and had a hassle with refunds to my AMEX as well as paying for the shipment return.

I have had problems with Chadwick's over the last year. They oftentimes cancel items with no notification and when called on this practice, respond with "We're sorry for any inconvenience". The last order I placed was on the internet and the wrong shipping address was listed on the order. I e-mailed to have the address changed and since it was "in process", there was nothing that could be done. The order is shipping to an address I have never even heard of! I was told by the customer service supervisor that since I ordered on the internet, I must have entered the wrong shipping address. WHAT?!?!?! I have the same shipping and billing address - why would I list another name and address entirely! I was told to call every day to find out when the order ships and then I can try and reroute the package. If I ever see my order (which I doubt), I will be returning it unopened and disputing all charges.
