Customer service sucks. Nice app to help select your memory and good price. But heaven forbid something goes wrong, like UPS loses your package. Then it's "our UPS rep promises it will be delivered today" or "No, we cancelled the replacement order you were promised yesterday because our UPS rep told us to and your package will be delivered today." Not.

Slow Shipping

Used Crucial for years, but in the last couple of months, they have deteriorated. Sent wrong memory on last order, need to exchange. Used their "free" shipping. It's taking forever. They farmed it out to a company UPSInovations. S L O W. 2 weeks still have not received. Estimate another week or 2.
I am in shipping. You can ship accross the country in a week. Tried to call Customer Service (If you can find the phone number), 30 minute estimated wait time. Tried to use "chat". No one was available. |

In January I ordered a RAm upgrade using their website for reference. Everything went smoothly and I ordered the prescribed upgrade. When I didn't get a shipping notice in a couple of days I called the company and talked to a sales rep who told me that they had run out of that product and were waiting for a shipment. He double checked and found that the shipment was in and told me that they would upgrade the shipping at no charge to get it to me quicker. They did as he said they would do and it arrived in two days. Other than a lack of communication this was a pleasant experience. The product worked fine.

Be Prepared to WAIT for your Product, unless you paid the Shipping Premium!!...
Crucial's shipping dept. is severely understaffed. This leaves the company deliberately delaying shipment for those customers who do not pay for "expedited" delivery. Worse yet: while you're waiting for your product, the website says "ready to be delivered"--day after day--but in this case "ready" means NOTHING whatsoever, certainly not an indicator of when delivery will actually occur. To add a final insult, if you call to speak to a real person about your order, be prepared to wait fifteen minutes or more, only to be told there they have no idea when your product will actually ship. Worst shipping ever -- Buyer Beware! |

Disappointed. Had an order put on hold which was supposed to ship same day but was at least notified of this error later that day. Order was supposed to ship within 2-3 business days and on the 4th business day I contacted Customer service inquiring about the status of my order. She told me that the product should ship today but she could make no guarantees. I asked if she could expedite my order due to the delay and she said no "we have followed our protocal". I started a new "live chat session" (waited over 15min on phone and couldn't get anyone) and asked to cancell my order because I found the memory for $10 cheaper at a store by my house. This time the representative offered to overnight me the product but then she apologized and corrected herself stating that THE PRODUCT WAS NOT EVEN AVAILABLE - are you kidding me? I have purchased hundreds of goods on the internet before and this is NOT how you conduct business and the end of the story is they will no longer be receiving mine.

I am not a happy bunny. The service has tuned for the worse. I have ordered some memory from them and after 3 weeks I have received nothing. They have already taken the money from my account. After speaking to them with various phone calls they said there is nothing they can do for another 2 weeks and I am NOT allowed to cancel my order (not what I understand from DTI). With one phone call they said the order has been shipped, with another they say they had to order because it is out of stock. Nothing was even considered to resolved my problem.
I have now wasted 4 weeks waiting in vein. If I went to PC world and paying a little more I would have have the items the same day. Once I was a Crucial loyalist now I'm not. |

I ordered ~$800 worth of memory from them over two weeks ago, but haven't heard anything from them. I checked the order status, and found that the order had been cancelled. I checked my system logs to see if I had missed any e-mails from them. It turns out that their system truncated my e-mail address from user@xxx.yyy.zzz to user@yyy.zzz, which is an invalid address, so the e-mail bounced.
I added an alias so I can get any future e-mail from them, then send an e-mail to customer service, but never got any reply. I called customer service, and asked the agent why the order had been cancelled. She said that they could not confirm the bill to address. I asked her to confirm the address they had, and it was correct. I have made many other purchases from several other web sites, giving the same information and never had any problem before. The customer service representative did not seem to have any interest in my business, or even trying to resolve any of the issues. I've already ordered the same memory from another vendor, using all the same information, and within hours gotten an e-mail confirming shipment. |

Delivery shipped almost instantly after I ordered, however since free shipping option is 5-7 days UPS Ground, it took a little longer than I would've expected but that's not really their fault now is it? The order had everything I requested, exact same graphics card and memory modules I need for my system. The memory advisor was very helpful for making the decision of how much memory to order. Everything went perfect so there was no need to contact customer service and I would definitely recommend Crucial to anybody with similar needs.

Crucial is the greatest place to buy memory. Not only is their product excellent, it is backed up by a warranty that's actually REAL and their customer service is great. I bought a 256MB memory stick for my computer and had it for FOUR years when suddenly it went bad. They were able to find my old order and send me a replacement at no charge. Now that is a worthwhile warranty. You won't be disappointed.

I recently purchased a MacBook Pro with the stock memory, not really thinking that I need any memory. But then, I saw a Crucial advertisement for my PC-*5300* memory at 667MHz and clicked the link. When I saw that 1GB of this memory was only $130 with FREE shipping, I placed the order immediately! To put the icing on the cake, I chose the free shipping and it said that it normally takes 7-10 business days to ship, but I got my memory in TWO DAYS!!! FOR FREE! I couldn't believe it!!!
Now, I'm living VERY happily ever after with 1.5GB of RAM in my MacBook Pro and it is FLYING!! From now on, I'm buying all of my memory from Crucial! |

When I needed a memory upgrade for my PC, someone recommended Crucial. The order went through with no problems, the shipping was relatively quick. The memory I purchased has had no problems at all, and it has done wonders for my computer. The entire transaction was hassle-free and went smoothly. Prices are fair if not cheap, and overall, it is a good place to buy memory, flash drives, and graphic cards.

The Crucial Website was so easy to use, I knew without a doubt I was getting exactly what wanted to upgrade my computer. The website walked me through how to chose the exact product for my computer right down to the number of units I needed to buy.
Even more surprising was that standard shipping was free! My order came quite quickly and in very secure packaging. Customer service was great when I placed my first order and unknowingly did not complete the checkout, I called in a week wondering where my item was and the customer service person was friendly, helpful and took every measure to insure I was not in jeopardy of placing a double order. Overall I would recommend Crucial if you want a great experience buying memory for your computer! |

I have used crucial several times and found them to be most excellent.
The first time they advised I bought a very specific type of memory - so I completely ignored them (it was quite a bit more expensive than the cheapest I could find). They were right. i had to send the other memory back, order the one they recommended and it is still working fine. Since then I always use them for memory. They seem to be a lot more expensive for other items but for memory they are very good. Once I accidentally bought the wrong memory (I thought I had two identical units but it turned out the motherboards were different). they took the incorrect memory back no quibbles - no penalties and provided the correct items of course. There are also vouchers to save postage or a percentage of the price - on the net so its worth a look. In summary - highly recommended. |
