Wrost online shopping ever. I purchased a glider for Mother's day 2009 and item was recieved missing parts. They charged my credit card for second glider and I was to return 1st glider for credit. Second Glider came in missing parts and instructions as well. I've bougth hundreds of items online and will never buy anything from this company again!!!!!

I purchased a set of Cashmina sheets for our bedroom thinking they would be nice and warm for the cold winter. These sheets have been washed before being placed on the bed and they shed terribly! I had to vacuum the lint they produced off from them and they are still shedding! Horrible lint is everywhere! Of course with the expense of the originally shipping and handling of $15 and the cost to ship them back it is simply not worth losing any more money and Domestications will not offer a refund in full for a defective item!

I bought 3 sets of Cashmina sheets for holiday gifts. The sheets have been washed more than a dozen times and produce a baseball sized ball of lint each time they are washed. Domestications customer service has refused to do anything about these defective products. I will never shop with them again.

I CONTINUOUSLY TRIED TO CANCEL AN ORDER THROUGH THEIR EMAIL CUSTOMER SERVICE THE DAY AFTER PLACING THE ORDER - AND NEVER HEARD FROM THEM - 3 OR 4 DAYS LATER THEY INFORMED ME THE ITEM HAD BEEN MAILED. THEN WHEN I EMAILED THEM THEY IMMEDIATELY ANSWERED SAYING THEY COULD NOT CANCEL SINCE IT HAD BEEN MAILED. I'LL NEVER BUY NOR WRITE THEM NOR WANT TO HEAR FROM THEM AGAIN.

Worst customer service I have ever seen. They sent me a coupon code for a free gift with my order. When I ordered online, they said I will be getting the gift. Later, they said the free gift is no longer available. When I asked them to cancel the whole order in that case, they refused. The order had not been processed or shipped at that time, but they refused to cancel it.

I didn't have any problems with the shipping, as the products came to my front door in a timely manner. However, I had concerns with the quality. I bought a $29.99 comforter set, and although it is true that you get what you pay for, I could hardly imagine using the comforter on my bed. The material was incredibly scratchy and more like something you would find in a lousy motel than anything you would consider putting on your bed. Since I didn't pay that much for it and you have to pay shipping to send it back, it's still sitting in my house indefinitely. I went out to Bed, Bath and Beyond and bought an $80 ($100 - 20% discount) quilt set that was great quality and had more bedding in it. I would not recommend Domestications because their products (at least their $29.99 comforter sets) are virtually unusable due to their texture.

DON'T BUY FROM DOMESTICATIONS!!!1 Buying from Domestications was the worst on-line shopping experience I have ever had. I found this Seasons comforter which had the colors that would go great with my room. I ordered it and it took a while to get her. When I did get it I was soooo disappointed! The comforter was made so cheap, with nylon thread that was coming off and hardly any filling in the comforter. And the colors were nothing like it looked in the picture. They were very subtle colors in the picture, but the real colors were dark. So I ended up sending it back, losing my shipping costs and having to pay to ship it back. Their stuff looks nice on-line, but it's made very cheap, that's why they sell it so cheap. I wouldn't mind spending more money if the quality was better. So I will not shop at Domestications anymore

Very poor service. Took many days to ship (with no shipment notice). Then they shipped via the US Postal Service - all the postman delivered was a notice to GO PICK THE STUFF UP at the Post Office! What kind of delivery service is that?
Upon complaining to their customer service department, I was told that they have no control over what their shipper does (and clearly they don't care). You should note also that they stick a $1.95 "service charge" onto your order. This is amazing, since they provide no service at all. |

DO NOT ORDER FROM DOMESTICATIONS!!!I placed a $300.00 order online and was told that it ALL was IN STOCK. I received an e-mail saying that the order was shipped. When I received the order the comforter set was not in it. I of course e-mailed them to see what the problem was and was then told the set was out of stock and that I might me able to still get it but it would be at least 8 weeks or more. It doesn't do me any good to have curtains, valances, throw pillows, european shams, sheets and sheers to match a comforter set that I DON'T HAVE. I told them this and they said that I would have to pay the shipping to send it all back! Another $30.00 bucks... which I will have to eat and still have NOTHING! |

They are cheap and always have coupons (Google it)and we have ordered there quite a lot. Most orders went fine but once they screwed up one it was near impossible to get a coherent or definitive solution from their client service.
I advice people to cross their fingers when buying there as errors will not be fixed. All in all the aggravation of dealing with them leaves me no other rating than a 2 of which 1 point is for their prices. |

Watch out when you order from the Domestications website. Their item descriptions are INACCURATE. I purchased what I thought was a desk and chair set from their website. Under the item description was a bulleted list that included a description of the chair and the desk. The chair was also in the photo. The item arrived, but no chair. Customer service told me that "in the catalog, it says the chair is not included." I told her that I purchased the item from the WEBSITE. Nothing on the site mentioned that the chair was excluded or sold separately. I was told that I could return the item, at my expense of course ($30). She did say she "might" be able to get a "one-time courtesy" return slip. A courtesy when they were the ones that deceived? I told them that I would never buy from them again and they just said "okay." Either they hear that a lot or Domestications does not care about the customer. DON'T buy from them!!

The worst experience ever. Put an order in on Oct 3rd and it was never fulfilled until 5 days later. I was offered 15% off through an email I had received, however, I was charged full price. This caused the customs charges to be higher as they were based on the higher value. When I tried to return the product, I finally got a response back from someone after 15 emails or so. The product itself was of very poor quality, and I was missing a few of the items ordered. I will never order from Domestications again.

I recently ordered custom made window blinds. When I received the product, it had been made incorrectly. I contacted customer service and was told that a pick-up order would be issued and a credit would be issued to me after they received the product back from me. I waited two weeks and no one came to pick up the product. I contacted customer service again, and now they gave me a different story saying that instead of picking up the incorrectly made blinds, the manufacturer would be sending me another one. I don't want another one because after the first contact with customer service I went elsewhere to purchase the blinds. But they now say they will not issue me a credit. Very disappointed in how customer service handled this.

The way customers are treated by Domestication's Customer Service Specialists is deplorable.
They give bogus phone number and give you condescending run around. I ordered and paid for curtains on May 10, 2007. They still have not arrived and they don't know where they are. Hmm. When I ordered the form on line said the package would arrive in 10 to 12 days. Their C.S.R. now says that it would arrive by the end of June. No they are not on back order. I can not find a number for the Corporate office. The name of the CEO is still a mystery as well. Domestication's is the worst in customer service and their satisfaction guarantee is a joke and a lie. |

BUYER BEWARE! Colors on the website and catalog are deceiving and do not match the actual merchandise and then you have to PAY SHIPPING to send it back. My biggest complain, however, is that the do not stock what they sell. You end up waiting 30-90 for the merchandise. It's very frustrating.

Very upset that they showed products in stock and then canceled part of a bedding order, leaving just the bed skirt in the order. I contacted them in less than 24 hours to cancel the whole order and they said they couldn't. Their policy is to refund the price of the product but not their shipping and handling charges if you return an item. After contacting them on the 19th of March,they emailed on the 23rd that the package had shipped on the 22nd, so they had plenty of time to stop the order. Add to that, if you go to their site, the product still shows it is in stock! Those would be #12927C FQ 71 and the pillow cases to go with them.
Just very disappointed in their lack of intelligence that if the comforter cover and sheets are unavailable, why would I want the bed skirt? They should have given me the opportunity to cancel the order rather than creating a huge hassle with the post office and credit card. |

I bought 1 comforter, 1 bedspread. Very disappointed. Poor quality (stitching, material), and the colors are much duller than on the web. I am a software engineer / web designer. I believe they may be using color enhanced images.
I have purchased on the web before, and product colors look as they did on the web. It is not my computer screen, as Customer service tried to tell me. Shipping was $14.99, and they will not refund shipping, or any portion of it. I will never shop with them again. There are better sites. |

I always heard Domestications was a good quality on-line store, boy was i wrong! I ordered a Sonora Table Lamp a few weeks ago, then i find out it was returned because instead of delivering my lamp, USPS returned it. I contacted customer service today, asking what the problem is, and i get an email saying my credit card will be refunded up to 4 weeks. They refused to pay to reship so i'm through with Domestications. I would highly recommend not buying from this company, they don't deliver what they promise.

I have ordered from them repeatedly and never had a problem. They are fast and efficient. One of the quilts I bought was a little thinner than I expected, but it was only $39.99. Also, this is one of the risks of ordering through any catalog; it was my responsibility to make sure I knew exactly what I was buying. But overall, they are honest, decent, and frequently send out new catalogs.

I have had many experiences with Domestications some good, some bad, they have terribly slow shipping and you have to watch your Credit Card bill if paying with a Credit Card, they often place magazine charges on there that don't belong there and Domestications makes it very hard to remove them. I have had to fight tooth and nail to get my refund back recently from them for a return, they told me they never received it back, but I sent it certified so was able to prove them wrong and STILL they gave me a hard time.
They do lack in customer service and you REALLY REALLY have to watch your CC charges, these magazine charges end up on your CC bill months later and it seems to me like Domestications hopes you don't see them. |

They have just not come through for me again. I ordered bedding for some rental cabins and the comforter sets were listed as in stock and available, so I ordered other items to go with them. Hours later, I received an email that the comforter sets had been cancelled. They wasted my time and now I have to return the other items that I ordered to go with these items.

I ordered two comforters and two pillow shams. They are a green "satin." The quality of the items is mediocre. I did get free delivery by finding a coupon on line, the order was correct and the items were delivered quickly. The comforters are rather thin; little padding. So if you're looking for what I call a robust item, Domestications wouldn't be the place to look. However, if you are fixing up a spare bedroom, rarely used and in back of the house, their products will probably pass muster.
