FTD = Failure To Deliver

I order flowers for my wife for Valentines Day 2007 well ahead of time. Valentines Day comes and goes, no flowers. Needless to say this ruined the day for me. The next day I request order status several times during the day and get nothing but a standard response about them contacting the florist. At the end of the day the flowers still haven't arrived. At that point I cancelled the order. I get back a standard reply saying that the ordered can't be cancelled. I replied that the order was indeed cancelled and that if a prompt refund wasn't given I would dispute the charge with my credit card company. I don't know yet whether they will do the honorable thing or force me to into a dispute. Don't use this company. Deal directly with a local florist if at all possible. I sure will.

I placed my order for Valentine's Day early without any problems. So I get home from work on Valentine's Day and my wife has not received the flowers. It was a bit frustrating, but I figured it was a busy day.
The flowers never showed up and calling customer service was a joke. Their number would not even accept calls "due to the high call volume". It is now the day after Valentine's Day and their customer service line is still down. What a racket. I will never go through this again... |

My boyfriend ordered me a dozen medium stem red rose bouquet for valentines. It arrived at my house Valentine's morning in excellent condition. The only thing that was wrong was that 2 of the roses were limp from being exposed to extreme cold.
The next day I spent about 1.5 hours on the hotline and explained that 2 roses were limp and I'm being sent a completely new bouquet. Excellent customer service, after getting on the line, the service was quickly cleared up. I would definately shop here again after this experience, not because they just fixed the order but because I know alot of the growers where I got my roses (i'm a florist) had alot of problems with being limp and to say that 2 out of an exquisite bouquet were limp is a great thing. I would imagine that other than Valentine's that they have a high customer satisfaction rating, and that the only people that post messages here are ones that are dissatisfied and are at a low percentage of the thousands that shop FTD. Thank you and have a great day, Ashley |

Failed to deliver & ruined Valentine's Day

I waited all day for flowers, hoping my boyfriend who is currently living overseas had sent some, and was really upset when I did not receive anything. I sent him an email (due to the time difference) saying I was sad to have been left high and dry on my favorite day and he was baffled. It turns out he HAD ordered me a dozen gorgeous roses, well in advance, online, it's just that FTD never delivered them!!! They still haven't showed nor have they responded to the customer inquiry. They had my number they could have called me!!! I tried to call but waited on hold for twenty minutes before hanging up. Way to ruin my Valentine's Day!! Please, don't use them!! My flowers still haven't shown up. So much for guaranteed delivery!! Worst Valentine's ever - my boyfriend is annoyed that I got mad, and I was miserable all day because I thought he had forgotten me!! Thanks a lot FTD. Really.

FTD BLOWS!!!!

I ordered flowers for my wife for valentines day, 2007. I placed the order three days in advance. So, Feb 14, 2007 Valentine's day comes. I wait for word that the flowers have been delivered. I check the website over and over, and it tells me that my order is being processed by a local florist and that they will chceck my order and send me an email about its status. All day long, no email arrives.
So at 2:00 p.m. still no word. I try calling them. FTD has "temporaily disconnected their phones" because of the Valentine's day rush. It turns out that I have no way to check on my order. I have no way of knowing if everything is ok or not. Finally, at 4 p.m., I get an email saying that it can't be delviered. Of course now it is too late for me to order something from a competitor (and I am sure that is just a concidence) So I then say, fine this is a joke, cancel the order and I won't use FTD again. Guess what? They refuse to cancel the order and say I have to pay for it anyway. |

Hello, I want to write that this has been a terrible experience for me. I ordered 18 roses for Valentine's Day and they were delivered on the 13th. I mean, ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! My Valentine's gift to my wife had been ruined. I called them and after 20 minutes of pleading, they refunded me the roses and said they would send a small bouquet the following day. I said ok and they wanted to charge me $30.00 shipping???? HUH!!! I almost blew a fuse and eventually they did not charge me the shipping....Well, the next day, Valentine's day! My wife doesn't receive anything. I call FTD and they can't contact the vendor because they are busy. I complain to someone called Bob and he says OK! Not sorry or anything! Karen at there corporate office stated they can deliver til 9pm. How many businesses (schools for my case) are open til 9pm???? Anyway, I hope you don't buy from them.

Twice bitten...
I ordered an arrangement for my mother's early-November birthday and was promised on-time delivery. It arrived late and the vase was broken in half. They sent out a replacement, but it took several days to arrive. By that time, what's the point? Now, for Valentine's Day, they don't deliver the roses I sent to my girlfriend, the email confirmation they sent to me failed to include an order number (so there's no way for me to check order status online) and I've been on hold with customer service for OVER AN HOUR trying to get some information on the order. NEVER, EVER AGAIN will I order from this joke of an operation. |

Ordered a Valentine's day mix of roses and white lilies - the same flowers for our wedding later this year - for my fiance. Even though Valentine's day is on Wednesday they were delivered Monday morning, which is annoying but tolerable, except there were no lilies. They were replaced with carnations, daisies, and a lot of green. The florist FTD used went cheap on me. What a disappointment! I'm on hold now with FTD waiting to talk to someone... 36 minutes and counting.
Update: After 42 minutes on hold a customer service rep picked up and said they were too busy to help me out right now, took down my info, and said they would call me later. Horrible customer service - they just care about making the sale, not service. |

FTD has no idea what they are doing

FTD sent me an email saying that I could order "Fire and Ice Orchids" for $39.99. When you click on the ad, the system puts it up to $55.99. So I called "Customer Service". First of all, the their rep had no listening skills whatsoever - she liked to do all the talking. Then when I finally told her what my problem was, she put me on hold, then told me that there was nothing she could do and told me to place the order myself using one of two promotional codes: 1179 or 10488.
So I go back to the on-line order. THERE IS NO PLACE TO ENTER THOSE CODES. So screw their stupid company and your bait and switch practices. |

Very unhappy with FTD. The flowers that were ordered specified that there would be 8 daisies and 6 roses. Only 4 daisies were in the bouquet and they put bright yellow daisies with pale beige and pink roses (they looked terrible!) and half dead "greens". When I called to complain, FTD did send another bouquet, they told me it would be delivered on Thursday. They delivered it on a Wednesday and left it outside in 10 degree weather. And of course, the flowers froze. This time, they sent red roses which did look better but they turned black within 24 hours. And again, they only had 4 daisies instead of the stated 8.
Won't buy from again. |

FTD HAS HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I ORDERED A $60.00 BOX OF GODIVA CHOCOLATES ONLINE FROM FTD.COM FOR MY WIFE AND PRETTY MUCH RECEIVED CHOCOLATE SYRUP. I E-MAILED CUST SERVICE TO COMPLAIN AND THEY SHIPPED MY A NEW BOX OF CHOCOLATES AT NO CHARGE. ONCE AGAIN WHEN MY ORDERED ARRIVED I RECEIVED ANOTHER BOX OF CHOCOLATE SYRUP. THEY NOW WILL NOT RESPOND TO MY E-MAILS OR REFUND MY MONIES. I THINK I WILL STICK TO RED ENVELOPE.COM FROM NOW ON SINCE I HAVE ALWAYS RECEIVED QUALITY PRODUCTS FROM THEM.

On behalf of all my siblings, I recently ordered a birthday bouquet for our mother who is in the last stages of cancer. Even though I gave FTD 2 days notice, and I received an email confirming the correct date of delivery, the bouquet NEVER arrived to her home in Las Vegas. At 7:00 pm in the delivery city, I was able to call the support center. I learned later that there are 24 hour FTD shops with delivery in this city, but I was not told of this option. I was told to wait until the next morning when the florist who received the order reopened. The next morning they apologized, and told me they would deliver the flowers a day late, and they are working on resolving the issues of a glitch in their delivery date system. I was able to cancel the order, get my money refunded and deal with a florist directly. Our entire family will never rely on them again.

Gift Cards are fraud, Should be called coupons

Really Bad... I bought 4 Gift cards thru Turbo Tax (Intuit) and each must be used separately... Meaning the $100 I was going to spend must be spent 4 different times.. Good for FTD bad for me. Also when I called and explained this to their Customer Service they referred me to turbo tax. I guess FTD is O.K. with having customers mislead. They seem to take no responsibility for how they are represented by anyone. They stuck to there guns and wouldn't allow for any fix for this issue... Hence I will use my cards and never order from FTD again.. The customer team I spoke with was Angela, Beverly, Philip Stanly... Each not helpful.. (Chris Ayres Columbus)

I recently went on-line to order some flowers for my mother's birthday (which was two days away at the time). They arrived a day later than requested. What was unusual was that my mother lives in upstate NY and the flowers were shipped from Miami! I emailed FTD.com to request a refund as it was a very big disappointment to me and my mother. They wrote back saying they don't control their vendors, and besides the weather was bad. In fact, the weather was quite pleasant during that entire shipping period! Not only am I disappointed in poor service, but in response to my complaint they tell me a lie (the weather), blame the shipper, and only offer a 15% refund, which I feel is not acceptable. I will not be using FTD.com again.

The order MAY BE delivered correctly

Last Christmas I ordered a centerpiece from FTD.COM to be delivered to my boss on December 24th. I received a thank you note from my Boss and his wife on the 22nd! They delivered flowers that I expected to be fresh on Christmas day FOUR DAYS EARLY!
I complained - nothing could be done - but they were sorry about it. I swore I would never use them again. What a dope - Saturday we heard of a friend being sick and in a pinch I went back to FTD.COM and ordered flowers to cheer her up. They confirmed that the flowers would be delivered on Sunday. On Monday I asked FTD.COM for confirmation of delivery since I hadn't heard from our friend. They told me that they would inform me once they had confirmation. Now it is Tuesday and the time between expected delivery and confirmation is greater than the time between ordering and expected delivery. Their customer service is non-existent I wonder what FTD really stands for? |

Order placed Nov 8th for Nov 9th delivery never arrived. Was told that the florist couldn't find the address on their GPS. Since this was a major street off a main boulevard I put the address into mapquest and it popped up instantly. FTD wouldn't give me the name of the florist they were using so I cancelled that and another order. I believe their name should be changed from FTD to FTP(failure to perform).
