The top Aloe vera cover it is not smooth or flat. When I want to lay on it I have to like go over it with my hands to make it flat , and I do not know why or I have to pull the sides so the middle is flat .it is driving me crazy.I will take some photos and I will send them to you.At first I was thinking because the mattress was in a roll for sometimes so that will be smooth after one week but it is the same since I got it. English is my 2nd language I hope my letter is clear.

Service and product are excellent quality. Personally the free pillows give me a stiff neck as I find them a bit hard while the mattress feels a tad softer than expected. Overall I loved the service and it was a very smooth transaction.

very easy, very informative, you get exactly what you want. plus a couple of free items which we loved also. when i called because i had made a mistake on my address, they were able to track down the order and correct the address, with all that, i still go the mattress a day early!! perfect condition and we love the mattress even though we had never tried it out. i recommend them to everyone!

I recently purchased a king size 8" thickness 100% botanical latex mattress from Habitat Furnishings.  What a great mattress!  I've only slept on it two nights, but my tossing and turning was less even on the first night.  I've not experienced anything like it; it's difficult to describe the combination of support and comfort it provides.  It doesn't sink in too far and you feel like your on the bed, not sunken into it.  At the same time, there are no pressure points pushing back at you.  There is no bowing or sagging and no indentation like memory foam.  Changing positions is effortless.  There is no sound, not a squeak to be heard.  No spring-back or push-back like a traditional inner spring. 

Habitat shipped it exactly when and how they said they would.  It arrived in great condition and well sealed.  When I freed it from the plastic vacuum, it returned to it's full shape and size within about one hour.  I noticed no odor and the cover was so soft, a mattress pad is not necessary. 

I won't be returning this one.  I love this bed!

 2/12/09 Called with some questions regarding previous order and how long it lasted (or didn't last) and kind of got the run around from the person on the phone. I decided to not order another cover after our discussion and write this review. This review was a little more negative until the next day when I got a phone call.

UPDATE 2/13/09
Futons online (Habitat Futons) called today and was eager to make things right. I emailed some photos and they are in the process of sending out a new cover for free. I am sending in a piece of the old one when I get the new one. Marc was very helpful and easy to work with. I will update the whole review when everything is complete.

I would like to say that this is the most comfortable beds I have slept on in a long, long time. 
I bought a Sealy Posturepedic about 5 years ago and it is already like sleeping on a bumpy, lumpy mattress.  It has ruts in it that do not come out.  I am not a very heavy person and at 120lbs, I think this mattress should have lasted longer than it did.

I'm so glad I found the Habitat Latex Mattress!!!  I just know this mattress will last a long, long time and be well worth every penny I spent on it.  It's so nice to get a good nights sleep and feel more energetic during the day.  So comfortable and it doesn't rut.  I feel very secure knowing how the warranty works.

It was shipped faster than I expected and the service tech on the phone was very helpful and friendly!  I am very pleased with my purchase!!!

We ended up sending our air bed back because we could never keep one side inflated after many replacements, delays & returns. It was very frustrating, but there was no problem with returning the entire bed when that decision was made. We are ordering a natural latex mattress from them now because we think this will be a better alternative for us. Everyone was helpful, but directions weren't always followed, to many people where involved in simple tasks like tracking packages & returns.

After considerable research, we ordered an Ascend Air Bed system.  Unfortunately, after trying it for 5 months with several minor changes along the way, we decided it was not the best for us and started the return process under the 6 months free trial agreement.  The people we dealt with at Habitat remained cheerful and helpful in getting the product returned properly and our money refunded.  

Not once were we made to feel badly for returning an expensive product.  They didn't even ask why we weren't keeping the bed, but I explained my thoughts anyway in hopes of being constructive.  This company knows and cares about Customer service.  I'm sorry the product didn't work for us, but we would still recommed the bed for most people.  But most importantly, the people at Habitat will be a pleasure to work with whether you buy from them or not.  It feels good to deal with people on the internet that can be trusted.

Bought the latex mattress and the entire experience with Habitat Futons was good. And it's truly the best mattress we've ever slept on, and we've tried them all. However, their Web site calls it "a mattress that won't form ruts and bottom out six months after you purchase it." True enough at six months but we've had ours about a year and my side has bottomed out! I'm 6'4" and 280 pounds so maybe they didn't test with big guys. A local retailer sells a similar mattress but much thicker. Wish I'd bought the thicker one.

The Habiat Ascend Bed fullfilled both my wife and my expectations. We used the bed for about 3 wks called the company to make some recommended changes to how the foam material was layered. We certainly appreciate the customer service. The mattress was very easy to assemble.

It's too soon to tell if I would make a similar purchase in the future. It was my understanding that I would get the mattress protector shortly after placing my order. The protector arrived later the same day (20 days after placing order) as the bed arrived after I had installed another mattress protector on the bed.

I really appreciated being able to watch the video clips since I was trying to learn all I could about latex mattresses. Our mattress is very comfortable and we feel we saved a lot of money by shopping on-line. I was willing to take a chance on it after trying out latex mattresses in the store. The six-month money-back guarantee sold me on it, but we won't be returning it!

We were very pleased with the information on Habitat's site. The Ascend Air Bed is wonderful and we re very pleased with it. The cost was excellent compared to the major retailer. However, we were not completly happy with the delivery process. The tracking information was put up three or four days after the shipping process began. When fourteen days had passed, we called the shipper and were told that our order was on the truck and would be delivered that day. We were expecting a phone call(according to the info on the order confirmation order)for delivery arrangement. At that time we learned that an 18-wheeler truck was the delivery vehicle. We live on a narrow township road (turns to private) that has no outlet or a place for such a large tuck to turn around.Therefore, it was not possible for the truck to deliver to our house. Since the delivery company did not call us, we would have had a major problem if the driver had come down our road. The shipper was cooperative in making alternate arrangements with us. We met the truck at the head of our road and took delivery there. Once again, we love the bed, its price and the comfort we are experiencing sleeping on it.

Wow! What quality and savings! We bought the king sized Ascend Bed. Our bed arrived in 5 days and was easy to set up. We have never slept better! If you have done your research on airbeds you will KNOW that Habitat is the very best choice and will not disappoint. Their website tutorials and information on the beds is key and right on point.
