My order was quickly processed and the HDTV was delevered to my home in 2 days and was expertly packaged and in perfect condition. A Hands-on Guide to Creative Lighting:Excellent! You had the DVD I wanted and couldn't get in Canada. Shipping was very reasonable ($5.95) -- especially compared to several other reputable stores. It arrived in the mail 11 days after I ordered it (a period that included national holidays in both the US and Canada) which is quick for cross-border shipments.

Absolutely worst online experience ever! Delivery was made wrong. Took J&R three weeks to deliver to a wrong address, even though the right one was specified. The correction took them another two weeks. Eventually I had to leave without the equipment only to return home and find it delivered at the next door neighbors house.

  Delivery took about 10 days. After I got everything plugged in, my grandson came to fine tune things for me. Probably haven't taken advantage of many features but hope to eventually. Need to admit it took me awhile to figure out how to turn it on with the 'hidden' buttons.  Very pleased with extra space on desktop and enjoy bigger screen. Thank you very much

I've shopped with J&R for years and have always had good service; however, on my recent order the "Item Shipped" notice I received included neither a date shipped nor a tracking number.  I have no idea when to expect this package.  J&R:  This is not up to your usual standard of service!

It was easy to order, delivery was fast (and free). And then, when it turned out the printer we bought didn't work properly, the customer service was good.  But we had to specifically talk to the phone salesperson who sold it to us in order to be able to return the printer to the store and get a new one.

Ordered the Turtle Beach 5.1 headphones. Order was shipped very quickly and recieved quickly as well. The fact that they accept paypal as well was a plus in my opinoin. Packaged well and correct item sent. Great price as well. No complaints at all.

Have ordered from a couple of times, where item is listed as "in stock" on their website only to receive an email after ordering stating item is on "backorder".  Need to keep more accurate website. Prices are good, but if you are wanting something soon, it may best to look elsewhere, shipping can be slow (a week or more before they ship it), or you might get the "backordered" email.
I would still probably order from them again, they are good about keeping you updated on you order progress, you just have to decide which is more important - receiving item quickly or saving a few bucks.

The actual shopping experience with J & R was very good. The online site was easy to use, and the customer service representatives were very helpful. The only negative is that the merchandise I purchased was defective so I had to return it to J & R. I had to pay to return it. They did process the refund timely once they received the merchandise.

Delivery speed was excellent, free shipping. emailed me when product shipped, provided tracking number with UPS that worked as designed. Price was superb. I'm very pleased with this experience, and I've never been let down by Amazon and their partners. Very trustworthy.

Ordered 2 LP's one was noted as being a remastered edition with a deluxe booklet, but that must have been the text from the CD description, it was the original release.

The LP sleeves were notched, which happened in the old days to denote that the item was sold at a big discount from retail, so people couldn't try to return them to a store and try to get a refund of full retail price.

Shipping was adequate, the LP sleeve corners were a bit dinged from shipping. Same as you would expect from amazon.com when they ship LP's.

Anyway, they were at a great price, so I can't complain too much, but it wasn't exactly what I expected.

I'm generally hesitant to buy big-ticket items on-line, but chose JR for this purchase because my impression was that their reputation was good-and their price for the item matched the lowest price I found.
I ordered the item late one evening Pacific Time and received an email early the following morning notifying me that it had been shipped. The day the camera was scheduled for delivery, I found a lower price on-line and called JR's customer service. After a minor annoyance with the voice response phone system (have you ever had a good experience with one of those??), I spoke with a customer service agent who verified the competitor's price and told me they would credit my card for the price difference. The credit appeared on my account within two days.
The camera I ordered arrived as scheduled and in new condition. Based on the way my order was handled, JR will be one of my preferred retailers for future purchases.

It's good that you are willing to sell us the mexicans through an American Express Card, I think that the complexity of some mexican streets need a special attention (when the order is placed through the telephone and an absolute precision is required for the billing address in order to be accepted by the credit company).  I placed my order 10 days before it could be shipped...   I believe that there should be a way to reduce the credit department process for world-wide credit cards.

Very good experience. Bought a Panisonic Lumix DMC FZ28 digital camera. Price was very good and as published. No hidden fees and the shipping costs are up front and very reasonable. No call backs to push additional items or warranties, etc. Ordered item on a Friday afternoon and it was delivered on Tuesday. I received an email confirmation within 1/2 day of ordering that the item was shipped and tracking info was included. I would highly recommend to others and will use again.

I love J&R!  I will always ask to meet a competitors price and they do.  Shipping is fast, customer service is pleasant (That alone is unique these days)  I wouldn't go anywhere else for my electronics.

I found a product that I wanted to buy at another store for much cheaper then J&R offered it so I price matched it over the phone and then made the purchase that way. I was glad that they did price match it but they only beat the other person's price by a few cents so it wasn't that good of a deal and they charged me 9 dollars for shipping because the other site did.

I called to place an order early on Monday June 22nd for an in stock item.

Told the rep, I needed the product by Wednesday June 24th as it was part of a gift.

He assured me that he would make a special note about that and that because I was in Massachusetts and they ship from New York, I was within 1 day UPS range and that I woud have it no later than Wednesday....assuming that it shipped on Monday or Tuesday at latest.

It is now Friday June 26th and 1:00PM.

No item - no tracking number.

Didn't have the item in time.

Still don't have it.

If they didn't think they could fulfill the order in time -- they should not have accepted the order.

I rate them a zero -- truly.

I did make it very clear that I needed the item by Wednesday....they frankly blew it all around.

I would not order again despite the rep being very helpful.

Part of mail order means delivering on promises made.

I had purchased from J & R once before and had a very positive experieence. Most recently I needed a Canon HD camcorder on short notice and kept looking around online and found the best price and they had it in stock. I ordered on Thursday afternoon and got it Friday Morning next day air. Exactly what i ordered in a very well packed box.
I originally ordered it thru Amazon.com but they changed the ship date and i cancelled it, then I ordered it thru AOM. I immediately afterwards cancelled my order with AOM when they did a bait and switch on a battery with me and have learned my lesson.
J & R is very professional and kept their word. Great company to do business with. Will always go to them first in the future.
