Music Box Attic

We ordered two music boxes for our kids at Christmas. We received them in a timely fashion but they were very, very poor quality (at $40 a piece!!), very tiny and one had a dent in the top. I immediately notified "Boris" at Quality Music boxes that we were very unhappy with the quality of the boxes and that one had a dent and that we wanted to return them. I was told to return them and did so the following day. I sent them back UPS and received a tracking # and delivery confirmation. It is 2+ months later and after NUMEROUS phone calls where I spoke to "Boris" (and sent emails which have NOT been returned!) ,who assured  me the credit to our credit card was being processed, we have yet to see a credit.  We are filing a dsipute with our card company.  DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!! They are not to be trusted and have HORRIBLE customer service!!

Ordered a piano music box for my son to the tune of 75 plus dollars.  Simply removing it from the package resulted in the piece with the pedals becoming detached, and with subsequent use the keyboard became unglued.  Although it still does look like a grand piano and the music plays fine - the price charged is far higher than what amounts to a very cheaply made item.  Wrote two emails to their attention and received no response - they had responded when I had a question about the item I purchased, but offer nothing when I expressed my discontent with their product.  Now that I have read other reviews at this site, I would have never purchased from them!!!!

I ordered two weeks before XMas, received the wrong item, talked to customer service who verifyed and said would ship immediately. A week later, the sites mailbox was full, no one answered the phone. By XMas, no item received, although a subsequent email promised it would be shipped. First year my daughter didn't receive our traditional gift. Do not use this merchant.

My order was shipped promptly and packed well. The music box is of high quality--it is beautiful and sounds excellent. The description on the website was completely accurate and every detail of my order was fulfilled correctly, from the custom engraving to the choice of music. The website is not the clearest or best laid out I've ever seen, but the customer service rep with whom I spoke was helpful in answering my questions.

I ordered a music box as a Christmas Gift for my sister. It was shipped promptly, however it was not gift wrapped (I paid $24.95 extra for the gift wrap).

Attempts to reach this company by email have been ignored and when I tried to call I got a voicemail asking me to leave my name and number.

In addition, the size of the music box was not disclosed and it was much smaller than it appeared online.

If it were not for the issue with the gift wrap I would recommend this company for the speed in which it got the gift to my sister.

However, since they do not respond to my request for a refund of the cost of the wrap I would not use this company again.

We shopped on-line. The music box is beautiful.We are very pleased with the quality and workmanship. The engraved name plate was done correctly the first time! We would definitely shop with them in the future. Just seemed like the mail time was a little slow, which is not their fault.

1. Expected box to have Reuge, not Mapsa movement. Sent it back for Reuge movement. They did pay freight. 2. Picture showed a darker finish (prefered). Item very light, therefore lid inlays do not show as well. Merchant offers largest varity on the web. Woud use again.

The first music box/jewelry box arrived damaged by UPS. I called the company immediately and they promised I'd receive the same item in two days (the Friday before Christmas). It arrived, in excellent condition on the day stated and they enclosed a return ticket for the damaged product. My daughter-in-law loved it so it made it even more exciting.

I was so impressed with the speed, accuracy and honesty of this company. I'm no easy to impress. It arrived sooner than I had anticipated and the quality of the boxes was everything I had hoped it to be. This is a company I WILL deal with again and reccomend to my friends and family. I was very pleased with my order and the rate it took from beginning to end. Only one minor concern with my order. I got a carousel horse music box on the pole. The top portion of the pole had released itself from the horse. It seemed to be held in place just enough. It may have been just bumped to push that part. Besides that, I am pleased and would come back to shop there again! :-)
