beware; this could be a very bad experience

Shoes.com has (without a doubt) the worst customer service I have ever experienced. They will tell you they will match the low price but they don't explain this guarantee is only for certain shoes (not all of them). I called within an hour of my purchase to tell them I found my items for considerably less. I was put on hold by the phone prompt system and had to wait on hold for 45 minutes. The agent told me the order was alread at the warehouse and could not be stopped. Of course the order didn't ship for another 3 days. I sent the order back and after 2 weeks, I still have not heard anything from them. I tried to call customer service again but after 20 minutes on hold I gave up. Go to Zappos.com or anywhere else for shoes. Don't shop at shoes.com unless you really like poor service and high prices.

Horrible In Every Way - BEWARE!!

Do not buy from this horrible company w/ horrible employees.  Shipping times are ridiculously slow and the word of the day in CS and Sales is "unfortunately"...that is, IF you are able to get through.  Waited once for over 43 minutes before receiving a busy signal.  Again, Do Not Buy From Shoes.com.  One representative hung up on me without reason.  Said I was "cursing" at her for saying "What the heck am I supposed to do to resolve this?"  Apparently that was her excuse to hang up on me and talk to the next dissatisfied customer.  By far my worst on-line buying experience and I've had a few.

It took two days before shoes.com shipped my order, and 9 days to receive it in the continental U.S. Their website and receipt both stated to allow 5-7 days for shipping. I would strongly advise consumers not to deal with companies that only use UPS, because UPS is the worst (and most careless) shipping company on earth. I have received packages from Europe and the far east in half the time that this took.

Poor customer service

The shoes that I ordered were placed on sale less than 12 hours after I ordered them. The company refused to honor the discounted price and were quite rude about it. When I told them I would no longer be shopping with them, the agent stated they had plenty of customers and did not care.

Lightning Fast Shoes.com is NOT!

They are NOT as stated on their website "lightning fast" when it comes to shipping. My order showed it was "processing" for 3 days. I called customer service to see if it even had been shipped and they told me it was processed. So I ask again, was it shipped? They tell me again, it was processed. They don't have a tracking number so it's not shipped right? No, it means the tracking number is not available and that the order has been processed. I was ready to scream at this point! I will never order from Shoes.com again. Order from Zappos.com. instead! Zappos ships the same day as when you place the order, you get a tracking number within 2 hours of ordering,...AND you get your shoes the day after you place your order! Now THAT is what I would define as being "lightning fast". I think I would be fine with getting my shoes in 7 days if Shoes.com had not advertised themselves as being "lightning fast" implying that they were as fast as Zappos. Sorry but 7 days is not even fast, let along "lightning fast." That's false advertising.

Excellent in price and service

I ordered several pairs of shoes from the site and the items have always lived up to or exceeded expectations, When a pair did not fit (I have a tough size) shoes. com made returning the items easy and quickly posted a refund to my credit card. I have used the site over and over, which is the best review I can give.

Always do a web search for a coupon. They often run specials that are not advertised on their own site.

This is the best site for shoes! I wear a large shoe and it's sometimes hard to find styles I'm looking for in my size. They always seem to have things in stock at decent prices. They offer free delivery that is very fast.

TERRIBLE customer service, good pricing

I don't normally write reviews, but I had to on this one - just for their TERRIBLE customer service. I made a purchase a week ago (haven't received the shoes yet), and they sent me a coupon which would lower the price by $16 on my order. Instead of just giving me a credit, the very unhelpful & unfriendly customer service rep told me I'd have to place another order at the lower price, and then return the original order back to them. So, they'll pay to ship the shoes to me (twice), and pay to ship them back, but they won't even match their own pricing. It makes no sense, and is costing them about that much anyway in shipping charges.

On the plus side, the prices combined with coupons & discounts are VERY competitive, but I'll only be using them when I must. The selections are good, and they have more sizes and lower prices per shoe than their competitor (whose name starts with a Z).

shoes.com has got to be the best shoe site on the web. You can search by color, size etc. The site is easy to navigate, good graphics, huge selection. Shipping is on time and reasonably priced. Will go back again and again without looking at the other guys.

deceptive advertising bad bad bad

Last night I ordered two pairs of shoes at Shoes.com. They are a sister company of
Famous Footware. Tonight I saw the BOGO sale on famousfootware.com plus 10% off. I called Shoes.com and no cooperation from them. They were polite but insistant that their 115% match doesn't apply to BOGO promotions and they won't match the discount at all. I don't even care about the additonal 10% off. They wouldn't even allow me to cancel the order even though it has not been shipped. It's over $30 difference. So I ordered the shoes from famousfootware.com and I have to wait for the shoes to come from Shoes.com so I can send them back free of charge. THIS JUST SUCKS!
