Sizing is not consistent from one article to the next. The quality is very good but often I have to try two different sizes to get the right fit.

Disappointed the expected ship time is more than 2 months away, wanted the dress for a wedding the last of June, which was 6 weeks from when I ordered it. I will probably cancel the order.

Some confusion on receiving discount as advertised by 3rd party web site, however, a prompt online interaction quickly resolved the issue. I think SoftSurrounds has a web software problem.
Because I like their merchandize, I would shop at SoftSurrounds more often if the prices were better. Also, receiving a catalog makes it easier to shop on line.

Terrible customer service!!! It is now March 08 and I am still dealing with exchange nightmares from the Holidays. I am now on my 4th item to exchange and they still can't get it right. I can understand encountering a few problems and usually it won't faze me if I get good customer service. Those two words are not part of their vocabulary!! Not only was I inconvenienced, so was my Mother-in-law, the one who originally gave me the outfit. It has gotten to the point that I am going to send everything back and they are even making that difficult.

I have shopped Soft Surroundings Online Store for a few years and have found it to be essential for petite clothing. They have a large, quality selection for xs petites. Clothing fit is described as whether "oversized", "regular", and so on which helps

Nothing but problems with this company. They refuse to ship goods because of some "technical" glitch where their computer does not seem to be able to talk to my bank's computer even though they got paid by my bank credit card on each and every item ordered and shipped. Then when I tried to "unsubscribe" to their numerous e-mails about problems with the order, they rejected my e-mail address as not entered correctly (even though I am very computer literate and think I can at least enter my correct e-mail address). Ditto when I try to cancel their numerous catalogs. Looks like they have a big "technology" glitch which has lost at least one customer who orders online from much more prestigious companies than Soft Surroundings (eg. Gumps of San Francisco, Frontgate, and other very high quality outlets). The Customer Service at Soft Surroundings has apologized many times for what they call their "problems" but nothing is ever resolved -- so, adios, Soft Surroundings; you're not the only kid on the block and I'll take my business elsewhere.

I have received catalogs from Soft Surroundings for a couple of years. I finally decided to order from them when I received an online discount code (25% off) for any clearance item. I ordered a green, fleecey, deep v-neck top from their website. I received the order within 7 days (it was easy to track online). The top is very nice, although not quite as plush as it looked in the catalog picture. The regular prices at Soft Surroundings are a little steep, but I would consider ordering again if a spot a good bargain.

Mailed back a Christmas gift and requested an exchange. Waited 3 weeks. Called them. Customer service said they did not receive the return but were not sure as they had moved. Waited another week. Called back - still no return. Went to Post Office. SS received my package 3 days after I mailed it. Called them back- they promised to send my exchange OVERNIGHT!!!!!!!!!!! Still no credit, no exchange, nothing. NEVER NEVER DEAL WITH THEM
THIS IS THE WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH IN MY LIFE. CUSTOMER SERVICE REPS are horrible.......... They LIE--------------- BE WARNED AND STAY AWAY |

I ordered a product on a Sunday with Express shipping, only to have it shipped out 9 days after it was ordered. The response from Customer Service was that I would get it in 7-10 days after shipping.
Express shipping is NOT express shipping. And why should it take 9 days to ship out if in stock? This will be my last order with SS. |

I've purchased from Soft Surrounding for a few years now. I love their products. Great quality and have never had a problem with returns etc. Customer service by phone has always been exceptional. I cannot speak for email, since I always telephone the company if I have a question or need to return something.

I was excited to find what looked like quality blankets at soft surroundings. However, after emailing them two or three times asking a question about a product I wanted to order and getting no response to any of them, I quickly changed my mind. I can understand how an email can slip through the cracks but when all of them go ignored, there is something wrong. Why list a contact email address on the website if there is nobody to man the site?
