Worst service ever. I placed orders three different times for three different products. The first time it was over a hundred dollars and took 15 days for me to receive it, even though I paid for priority mail they shipped it parcel post....

Ordered clavamox due to good price and asked to update my order to confirm that the faxed prescription had been received. No response after a day. 2 more emails- no response. Tried calling during business hours - vm only. Tried again- got put on hold for several minutes. Tried mailing again to cancel the order- got "mailbox full" returned message error. Mailed to their info address to cancel the order- no response. So at this point, I have to wait until the charge is committed, and then contest the charge. Big waste of time.
Update: they did ship the clavamox a week later. So I have to update my rating as they did ship the product for a good price. However, I may go with another supplier, even at a higher price in the future because of their flaky customer service. |

I also placed an order last week but have not received any kind of notification that it shipped. I used my bank card to pay for the products and they have already charged my account. Has anyone had problems getting their money back from this company??? I'm really worried about this.

I ordered 3 prescription medicines 18 days ago. Have not received anything yet. I've called 4 times and am always lied to and treated rudely. My vet says he did not approve the prescriptions because they will not send him the proper documentation needed. They insist they shipped it anyway. They have told me a different story every time I call. I was told my money would be refunded today if the package did not arrive. That did not happen and the person who said this was conveniently unavailable today. I spoke to him every other time I called. I was given a tracking number on May 29th that says the post office received notification they would be receiving the package. That has never changed. The company blames the USPS. I have also been told they have 16 different web sites and even if I don't order from discountpetdrugs again I will end up with one of their other sites. I was swayed by the price but will check out a company better before I order on line again

Seriously - I wish I had seen the reviews before I ordered from this site. I bought from Discount Pet Drugs initially to SAVE money, but when it took over 3.5 weeks to receive my dog's heartguard, I had to buy Heartguard from the vet (which as you know, costs $$$ & why we look for deals elsewhere)...and what I was trying to avoid. I called their cust. service about 7 times and all I got was voicemail (again, the reveiws are right about them not answering their phone). After about 4 weeks, my order FINALLY came. I will NEVER buy from this place again. There are other places out there, if you do a Google search, that have similr prices and WAY better service.

ABSOLUTELY the WORST experience I have had to date ordering items for my pet. The worst customer service, lack of accountability and they LIE to you. If you want your credit card to be charged 2 weeks before shipping, no tracking numbers and to pay extra for food delivery, this is the site for you. They told me my package went out a FULL week before it was actually sent.
Although their prices might be better, it is NOT worth the hassel when you NEED stuff the most. It has MAJOR SCAM written ALL over it! EXTREMELY UNRELIABLE!!!!!! |

Ordered Rimadyl on 4/28/09 and it arrived 5/1/09 by US Express mail. No surprises. No tracking number provided but I didn't ask for anything other than standard shipping. I did not ask for customer service, so I can't comment on that. Very good experience and very good prices. And I wrote this knowing there were negative reviews elsewhere.

My wife (A vet) ordered "Mycodex" shampoo in mid March. She never recieved a confirmation or the order. Her credit card was also never charged. I guess they just choose to ignore her order. I placed an identical order on April 27, 2009 and recieved an immediate confirmation e-mail. On April 30, 2009 I followed the link on my confirmation e-mail to check my order status. SURPRISE, "YOUR ORDER HAS BEEN CANCELLED." No explaination, no nothing. I called the customer service (can you really call it that if there is none?) number and let it ring until the phone company came on the line and said, "There is no answer, please hang up and try your call later." I sent an e-mail to the company outlining what has happened and so far, you guessed it, NO RESPONSE !! Why am I not suprised? Never again. I will be watching my credit card statement VERY closely from here on.

I placed my first order recently, and I have to admit it was prior to reading all these negative reviews. I was pretty worried, because 2 of the 3 items required prescriptions. Within 5 days of placing the order, the package was received. We couldn't be happier as everything was exactly what I ordered, no surprises! Prices were outrageously low and shipping was nominal. We'll definitely be ordering from them again.

I ordered Advantix for my dog. No tracking information was ever provided. Called twice and was told that it had shipped and the tracking information would be sent - this never occurred. After two weeks and after reading all of the existing bad reviews, I called my credit card company to reclaim the charge.
Two days later, the order showed up. I had to call my credit card company to pay for the order. I did get a good price. The order was delayed and they were not good at letting me know what was happening. |

The delivery happened in a week. I was really worried after I read the negative reviews. I was about to call the bank and dispute the charge on my account. But I guess I am one of the lucky ones. I called them 3 times. the first 2 times, this one customer service guy, was not very polite. The third time, Steve, was much better. They said that they sent email confirmations, but I never got them, till this day. I am guessing, something is wrong with their system? Will I buy from them again? I don't think so. Just because I don't like the anxiety that it had caused me.

First order of glucose test strips was OK, but took almost two weeks to arrive. Second order-should have known better- two weeks after order was confirmed as shipped, and credit card was charged, still nothing! Post office has no record of package using tracking number they provided. Don't answer their phone. HORRIBLE service!

I bought cat food from this site and paid as much as I was asked. Next day I got mail:
"Your shipping cost may go up. the shipping cost is by weight. this only applies to pet food orders. please reply to this e-mail for your order to ship" I Think it is not a legal way doing business. This place should not be advertised by my favorite Shopping.com. |

I've ordered from discountpetdrugs.com many times over the past several years. In general, they're very good - good prices, fast shipping. Communication isn't their strong suit so here's a recommendation: don't wait until 3 days before your pet needs his/her meds before you order. Some things are apparently not stocked and so they might take 5-7 days before they ship. I've never had a "bad" experience, though. Use a credit card and don't wait until the last minute - that way you're covered and have time for a back-up plan in the unlikely event that you need one.

Ordered advantix green and was sent red. Was told to fax a letter stating this and about a month later nothing. Called up and the guy said that he would make sure it would go out. Still nothing. They sent me another bill. i called and said this and he accused of me of internet fraud. Finally recieved the package with no return lable and no pre-paid postage of course. Even though I was promised I didn't have to pay for anything. Piece of S*&% company.

I never got the order. I called and called and no one ever returned my call. I placed my order in October and it is January and I am still waiting. They said my item was out of stock but would be in soon. They said that for 4 months. They said they would issue a refund, but they never did.

Awful customer service... Nobody answer the phone, and emails forget about it. I purchase two boxes of Clavamox on 12.28.08 and I received my package after a week. However there was only ONE box of clavamox inside, and when I checked my bank account SURPRISE they charged me for two boxes. I have called and emailed them several times without sucess, not even a phone call or nothing. Horrible experience, I WILL NEVER do business with them. As of today Jan 23rd, I am still battling to get somebody to refund me for the missing product!!! |

Awful -- prescription cat food delivery delayed two weeks and counting. They change shipping policy after the order is placed -- adding $20.00 for ground shiping -- and do not alert customers of delays or even provide a tracking number. I am not surprized at the reviews claiming fraud.

I ordered a vital prescription medicaton for my dog on October 25th. It did not arrive and I called. I called at least 10 times. Each time I got a different story. I finally got my order on December 11th, 7 days after my dog had run out of her prescription but even then I had to purchase a more expensive prescription (a larger quantity) because they "couldn't get the 4 oz bottle anymore". This was probably the most frustrating and disappointing shopping experience I have ever had online. The service was wretched and I will NEVER use this company again.

NEVER AGAIN! We ordered flea control pills and heart worm medication over a month ago and still don't have it. I called today when I noticed I had been charged twice for the one order. "Joseph", whom I talked to, was very rude, saying "I don't even know who you are" when I asked if he had my order pulled up, even though I had told him my name and zip code which he asked for when I first called. This is my third call to this place. Got a tracking number from the PO which never told me anything! He told me I order the products twice, which I did not! I told him to credit my CC x 2 for these orders and I will NEVER do business with this company again! I wish I had read these reviews before I ordered with them!

I am baffled by the reviews for this retailer. I am completely pleased with the accuracy of my order, the timliness of the delivery, and the fact that my order made it to Alaska in perfect shape. I have a Newfoundland with allergies and skin problems--I need medicated shampoos in gallon containers. It is a real pleasure to find a retailer that carries gallon sized products AND knows how to package them so that they arrive intact!
