As I live In Dubai (the other side of the globe), I was initially apprehensive about ordering the Celestron NexStar 8i Telescope (and accessories) from a company over the Internet.

However I can now HIGHLY recommend ordering anything from "Telescopes.com" because they offer complete Customer Satisfaction and are professional & reliable to conduct business with. A special thanks to Mr. Jason Mulek who processed my order & was extremely helpful.

Their web site "www.telescopes.com" is extremely informative & technologically up-to-date, which is most helpful for international customers like myself. I am most pleased with all the Celestron hardware I ordered which arrived fairly quickly & in good condition by FedEx and its all working to spec. Over the last couple of weeks my friends & I have had some spectacular views of the Southern Hemisphere.

Item that was advertised on the web site as in stock, wasn't - estimated delivery time was falsely displayed. I received an email stating that it had shipped when it hadn't. It took me 3 emails to get a response from customer service, which told me that the item was on backorder, in spite of the 'in stock' status on the web site and the email telling me it had shipped. I found this 'shopping' experience to be on the 'fraudulent' side. On the positive side, they applied a credit to my credit card very quickly (though they charged it at order time, not waiting until it shipped.)

I purchased the glasses and unfortunately they were not what was needed. All of the parts were returned to Telescopes.com/binocular.com however they mentioned that a couple of plastic parts were not returned and therein did not refund the full amount. I called and asked to speak to a supervisor on a Friday and by Tuesday still had not heard from them. I got a hold of my credit card company and ultimately within a conference call the telescopes.com manager insisted that parts were missing when returned. It is a subjective argument to say parts were missing. I know how meticulous the person where the glasses were sent is and know she did not misplace or forget to include all of the parts. I would not utilize this merchant again given the customer in this case did not come first. The customer service reps are nice, the people handling receiving and the manager were both contentious.

I recently purchased a pair of Celestron Outland 12x50 WP binoculars from binoculars.com. Although the price advertised by binoculars.com was not the lowest, I was compelled to buy from them based on the preponderance of positive feedback I saw here and elsewhere. With a simple phone call and a quick verification, they agreed to match the lower price I'd found on a different site -- no hassle, no grief. The representative placed the order for me right there and within minutes I'd received an email confirmation. The order shipped the same day and arrived within two days, including a $5 coupon good for my next purchase. I will not hesitate to do business with them again and highly recommend them to anyone shopping for binoculars or scopes.

Binoculars.com gave me the better shipping cost although their actual shipping charges (when going through checkout) showed $2.31 more than their estimated charges (prior to checkout). I ordered this Christmas gift on a Friday morning and was told that the item would ship that day and take, at most, 7 days to arrive. When I had not received the item after the 7th day, I called and was given a story about them missing the post office pick-up. When the item arrived the following day, the meter showed that they didn't even package it until two days after I ordered it, and it didn't ship until the day after that. If you are looking for a business whose word you can trust, don't shop Binoculars.com!

My Best E-buying experience. I called Monday and had a Competitors price. They matched the competitor's online price after a brief verification of it. I ordered on Monday and it arrived on Thursday with no extra paid for a rush order. The Customer Service rep was knowledgeable about binocular features so that I my selection was right for my purpose (hunting). The binoculars are great. I would highly recommend them.

I am absolutely delighted by the customer service I have received from Binoculars.com. Please read on. I placed an order in February and received an almost immediate email confirmation of the order. I paid no freight or sales tax. I had my binoculars on my door step in perfect condition within three days. The only problem that I had was that a $50 mail in rebate for the binoculars showed on their website. When I downloaded the forms I found that the rebate offer had expired, so I never got the money. Imagine my surprise a few days ago when I received a totally unexpected email from Chris at Binoculars.com. Chris had just learned of my situation and sent me first an apology and secondly an offer to make good on the rebate amount directly from Binoculars.com. I am impressed by the integrity, concern for their reputation, and commitment to the customer that this demonstrates. Would I recommend Binoculars.com? I already have. I am a sales trainer for a large company, and I use Chris's action as the example of how we should treat our own customers. I would be a repeat customer of Binoculars.com without hesitation.

Their website was very helpful in providing technical specs and allowing comparisons. It provides real time availability information and pricing info. Staff was helpful and quickly responded to a question I submitted. Pricing was competitive and shipment was very fast. Received my order in two days with regular shipping.

if you are buying telescopes this is the place. ask for Josh, extremely knowledgeable and helpful. They didn't have the scope I wanted in stock, but he took the time to find me an even better scope for around the same price.

Binoculars was very professional, courteous and friendly. Everything was delivered as promised. Ordered on Friday and 1 package delivered on Tuesday and the other on Wednesday. I was able to track it from Binoculars to my door. Elizabeth, who took my order, wrote a little personal note on my invoice.

I wasn't quite sure what I was looking for so I called their 1-800# and talked to someone and they were so helpful in helping me figure out just what I needed and wanted, and they made a point to keep it in my budget. A lot of phone operators you can tell are reading you information off of a piece of paper, not these guys. I ended up getting a pair of canons that are just great!
