The Z3 enters this model year with exciting new features and models. Leading the list is the introduction of the daring new Z3 coupe. For 1999 the coupe is available in two trim models- the Z3 coupe 2.8 and the M coupe. Both feature the same standard amenities found in the Z3 roadster, but with a hard top and larger cargo volume. The Z3 roadsters are still offered in three models- the Z3 2.3 roadster, 2.8 roadster and the M roadster. The Base Z3 receives a new 2.3-liter six cylinder engine instead of the previous in-line four. All Z3s now come standard with side-impact airbags, previously an option, for added safety. Options include cross-spoke alloy wheels, automatic transmission and a removable hardtop for the Z3 roadsters. Minimize

1999 BMW Z3-LOVE IT.

Pros: Beautiful styling, great performance, fun to drive.
Cons: The thought of paying a BMW repair bill.
The Bottom Line: If you find one that you like, BUY THIS CAR. Amended: I've had the car over a year without any needed repairs.

Pros: POWER, PERFORMANCE, PERFECTION
Cons: PERSISTENT NAGGING TO BE DRIVEN FASTER THAN THE "LOCAL GUBMENT" WOULD LIKE
The Bottom Line: You can only have so much fun in an automobile and this is the pinnacle.
Review: My 2001 M Roadster has been so wickedly fun I haven't been home enough to even write proper prose to describe it. I am unfortunately in the break of the current heat wave in Northern Michigan and have taken a day off from my evening road expeditions....
