The DuraFon1X is the 3rd generation of Industrial Cordless Phone Systems EnGenius has invented. The DuraFon1X has the longest range avaliable in a phone system. Reach up to 250,000 square feet in manufacturing plants, warehouses, retail stores, and healthcare facility like environments; 12 floors in-building penetration; and 3,000 acres on farms, ranchers, and school campuses. The two-way-radio is independent of the base, allowing intercom and brodcast signals. You can even program your handset by individual base unit to receive all calls or just transfer. The system can also expand along with your growing business with up to 4-line (1 line per base unit) and 36 handsets. The DuraFon1X carries more features like the Caller ID with call waiting, digital spread spectrum with frequency hopping, multi-line, 30-number speed dial and much more. Minimize

Very long range but not intuitive..

Pros: Really great range, best there is

Cons: Cannot be used properly with a headset, and costs a lot :(

The Bottom Line: Only get this phone if you really need the range. Otherwise avoid it :(

Review: The Durafon really does have the best range by far out of any cordless phone I have ever used. I live in a 5 story concrete house and the phone works everywhere. My other 5.8ghz phones only make it 2 stories tops. That's the good part, the bad part ...
