Opener is great but ....

Pros: Fast quiet operation. Small light, easy to install. Excelerator opening feature is nice.

Cons: Remote falls out of the holder. Keypad cover falls off. Remote range is too short.

The Bottom Line: I would heartily recommend this opener if the accessories were not so cheaply made. Overall the unit works well so I guess the issues are minor but still disappointing.

Review: Purchased the Genie Excelerator from Home Depot (think they sell under a different model number) but it is the same unit essentially. I was replacing a 1/2 Craftsman after about 10 years and hopefully this unit will last longer. The Genie Excelerator is ...

Pros: Quiet, handles heavy garage doors

Cons: Lightning can fry the unit and Genie doesn't cover the damage
