A brutal classic

Pros: Strong ensemble cast, story, direction

Cons: Narration gets a bit tedious but typical of the era

The Bottom Line: Guadalcanal Diary is well made movie that features the US Marine invasion of Guadalcanal in 1942. Worth watching.
