The Survival Kids series (released on Game Boy and Game Boy Color) makes the leap to the Nintendo DS. You play as Daichi. Together with a heroine called Aoi, you attempt to escape a deserted island. You'll use the stylus to collect food and items, combining them to new items. Players must hone their skills at all sorts of survival tasks, including hunting animals and gathering supplies, as well as cooking the food for sustenance. It's also important to establish a good relationship between the two characters, since the game's ending depends on your social skills and how you've developed the friendship and lifestyle on the island. There's also a second adventure after the first one ends where players take control of Aoi and get a completely different adventure experience. Minimize

Pros: this game is very challenging and inovative. you must cook your own food, fish etc.
Cons: very repetitive and tedious. can be frustrating quite a bit.
The Bottom Line: players who enjoy puzzle games, adventures and sim games will probably find this game more apealing than the adventure, shoot-em-up-rpg people.

Lost in a very boring game!

Pros: Survival concept is unique
Cons: Game is glitchy and buggy, game freezes a lot, too easy to die.
The Bottom Line: This game has a good concept but fails to execute it in a way that makes it compelling and fun to play.
