As good as they were considered, the one big drawback of these remotes was that they were really difficult to program. By contrast, the RC9800i, part of the company's Intelligent Remote Control family, is designed to be easy enough for a newbie to program. Aside from a sharp color touch screen, it has built-in wireless connectivity, which allows you to see content (music, images, even compressed video files) on your PC and stream it to Wi-Fi, Universal Plug and Play-enabled devices. RC9800i - Remote Possibilities for Control Freaks

Pros: An attractive, innovative device that replaces most original home entertainment equipment remote controls.
Cons: Expensive but there is a market for this and I'm it.
The Bottom Line: Four or five stars, it's a tough decision. The best rating I can give comes in the form of recommendations to friends and family. I highly recommend the RC9800i.

Replacing my laptop remote with this.

Pros: Ease of use, size, product support, price
Cons: Fikle batteries.
The Bottom Line: This is a great buy for someone with lots of AV in their entertianment system.
