Pros: A FAST PACED ADVENTURE TALE

Cons: THIS IS THE LAST IN THE SERIES

The Bottom Line: Cornwell's sword welding hero invades a new continent.

Review: 1820, The cannons that thundered across Europe for a generation have been silent for over five years now. It is a time of peace and prosperity. Many of the combatants have taken up new and more pastoral pursuits.

Pros: Finely drawn characters that deftly straddle the line between fact and fiction.

Cons: The tenor of Sharpe’s Devil sounds like this might be Taps for Cornwell’s Sharpe saga.

The Bottom Line: Plot – fact or fiction? Characters – real or imagined? Only by reading the ending Historical Notes could I tell. An interesting saga of Chile in the 1800s. Read On!
