Hmm . . . not my experience!

Pros: Small size; fits in the hole left by the ashtray perfectly.

Cons: The angle at which the head sits blocks the top line of the display.

Review: Not to disparage the previous poster . . . this is my 2nd Sirius unit. My Mustang GT has a SIR-PNP3, so I have some basis for comparison. I had a Starbase installed in my '04 Volvo C70. The Mustang has the Mach 460 system, and the Volvo the SC-901 ...

Great when connected with audio cables

Pros: Very small. Great unit when connected to stereo via audio cables.

Cons: Sounds awful when using an RF modulator. Pricey.

The Bottom Line: Buy the Starbase only if you are able to connect it optimally. When done right, it is a near-perfect unit.

Review: Got the Starbase when I purchased my 2005 Lexus RX330 because I wanted a low-profile unit. I was able to mount the display below the shifter and hide the head unit completely out of sight - a nice clean install. The first problem I had was that the ...
