Three Cheers for the brave bone!

Pros: Beautiful illustrations and dramatic storyline.

Cons: Some intense scenes.

The Bottom Line:

“The Amazing Bone” is a great story about friendship and courage, but young children might be scared by the intense scenes.

True Love, Danger, Abduction and Magic!

Pros: deep characters, lovely illustrations, inventive and exciting plot, extensive vocabulary

Cons: absolutely none!

The Bottom Line: This wonderful tale of platonic Love between (who else?) a pretty pig and a talking bone is an excellent way to introduce the joys and passions of literature to children.
