You bought a Volkswagen, and now the dealer is telling you that adding a CD changer will cost major bucks. Here's a solution ? the USA SPEC SCD-VW44 6-disc changer/adapter package can be connected to 1998-and up Volkswagen radios that have CD controls and a factory-installed changer cable with a square connector on the end. (Some 1998 VWs used a 13-pin round connector DIN cable, which is incompatible with the SCD-VW44 changer.)This high-quality 6-disc changer needs no wire splicing or confusing modifications ? the included 12"" adapter cable connects directly to the factory cable in the trunk.
