Pros: Looks great without be overwhelming. Tremendous Value. Online for $1200 (refurbished)
Cons: Might be too small for a large viewing area. Sweet spot is within 10 feet.
The Bottom Line: A lot for your money
Review: After a lot of shopping, it came down to value, quality vs. price. My final two selections were both Vizio models at CostCo; a 50" plasma at about $1400 and the GV47LF at $1700. I found internet user-group sites for these models. Previous buyers ...

Pros: Excellent 1080p HD 47" picture for $1500
Cons: Audio delay does not match other Vizio LCD models
The Bottom Line: Best value today for a 47" HD 1080p LCD TV, but I still prefer picture on my Samsung DLP (no dots).
