Violence, in a video game? Never!

by   reddragonflame ,  Jan 7, 2006
Pros: Awesome gameplay and some awe-inspiring graphics. Top-notch fighter.
Cons: Gory. As if you hadn't guessed.
The Bottom Line: For fans of the MK series, or those hoping to get into the series, this is a top quality game.
Review: Okies, it has been a while since I wrote a review for a computer game, and looking back at my early reviews it was probably for the best! However, I can't stay away from them any more, so here is my review for Mortal Kombat Deception. Now, the Mortal ...

There's no deception, only greatness.

by   andrew_rage ,  Oct 11, 2004
Pros: Tons of replay value, lots of different modes, seriously fun.
Cons: I can't think of one complaint.
The Bottom Line: If you love yourself, you should own this game. The Kollector's Edition is worth the extra money, but either way, just own the game.
Review: Mortal Kombat: Deception (MKD) continues the story of Mortal Kombat immediately following the end of Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance (MKDA). The opening cinematic connects the two, and is just the beginning of the best MK game so far. The Dragon King ...

MK DECEPTION RAISES THE BAR FOR FIGHTING GENRE!!!

by   nkretz ,  Nov 2, 2004
Pros: MK still king. Adds on more modes of play. Action is intense and bloody.
Cons: Konquest mode and possibly the only blemish on this golden title
The Bottom Line: This game will provide hours of great fun. From "FIGHT" to "FATALITY" you'll be on the edge of your seat.
Review: FIGHT!!!!!!We all remember when the first MK came out with its bloody game play and gory fatalities. Now this game has reached an all-new level of genius game play and great features. Mortal Combat Deception is obviously the best MK yet and could ...

The Best Mortal Kombat I have seen

by   liandria6409 ,  Nov 8, 2004
Pros: graphics, hours of entertainment
Cons: none, not sutible for children
Review: This is one of my favorite games right now. My personal favorite part of it is puzzle Kombat (maybe because I am a big Tetris fan. You create blocks just like Tetris and two characters battle it out to the end. I think that the fatalities are a ...

The MK franchise scores another hit!

by   jproussel ,  Oct 13, 2004
Pros: Great game play, cool free form Konquest mode, Puzzle Kombat, Chess Kombat
Cons: Konquest gets long and repetitive and must be completed to unlock all characters, Useless Manual
The Bottom Line: This game is a must for all fans of the MK series and Fighting game fans alike.
Review: Mortal Kombat has been a favorite of mine right since the first one was released back in the early 90's. Since the franchise made it's jump to the next generation systems such as Playstation 2, the game play and graphics and Kontent have only gotten ...

Deceptively good new features can't hide Midway's laziness

by   flash-hammer ,  Dec 16, 2005
Pros: Puzzle Kombat, improved Konquest mode
Cons: Fixing your gameplay flaws would make a better game than bonus material ever will!
The Bottom Line: While it isn't a bad game, Midway has essentially crafted Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance 1.5 and changed the name.
Review: When the return of the Mortal Kombat series, with M ortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance, found itself with a fairly respectable fanbase attained, naturally it wasn't long before the games makers, Midway, were back to ...

Deception on the PSP...you get what you pay for

by   payback123 ,  Aug 3, 2007
Pros: Good graphical update, two fighting styles and a weapon, different modes
Cons: Can't choose difficulty level, cheap environment traps
The Bottom Line: Mortal Kombat unchained is a true port to the PSP
Review: First off, this game is actually called "Mortal Kombat Unchained". It's understandable however that this game be listed as MK Deception for the PSP because it's essentially just a port to the handheld. Way back when, the Mortal Kombat franchise used ...

MK again

by   ariels1200 ,  Dec 29, 2004
Pros: Online mode, and the return of Baraka.
Cons: Konquest Mode is repetitive, long and boring.
The Bottom Line: Its really only worth three stars...due to the fact that the Konquest mode drags it down.
Review: As I might have mentioned in the past, I didnt really like the last Mortal Kombat game (deadly alliance) for it's lack of imagination, giving the horrible graphics and controls. Now I will break everything from the game down into its modes and features. ...
