Will only buy a Jeep

by   sultster ,  Aug 15, 2005
Pros: Great buy, holds it's value, very versatile, fun to drive
Cons: More suspension, soft top, and gear options
The Bottom Line: If you find a Jeep Wrangler you like, buy it. Once you do you won't want another vehicle.
Review: My first Wrangler was a Wrangler X with a hard top. After driving it for about a month I new I wouldn't buy anything other than a Jeep. A year later I traded it in for a Wrangler Sport. I wanted something with a little more power, a soft top I could take ...

Always smiling in my jeep!

by   bigh20 ,  Dec 24, 2004
Pros: Fun to drive, off road it is unmatched, amazing amount of custom accessories available
Cons: Stiff ride, no storage space
The Bottom Line: You have to love jeeps to buy one. If you love the outdoor, adventurous side of your personality get one. If you nitpick the small stuff go elsewhere
Review: Over the course of my 34 years I have owned several jeeps, an 84 CJ 7, 94 Wrangler (4 cyl., absolute base model), 95 Wrangler (6 cyl. last of the old wranglers), 97 Wrangler sport, and my current 05 Rubicon. One thing that all of these jeeps had in ...

um... allergen filtration? on a jeep?

by   wranglerman ,  Aug 10, 2005
Pros: available front and rear dana 44's, front and rear lockers, and super low gears
Cons: Sorry no allergen filtration, and it does not have the acceleration of a sports car.
The Bottom Line: If you are wanting a vehicle that could run circles around other vehicles off road and still is relatively comfortable on road, then this is a great ride.
Review: Ok the above review is a little frustrating. I have owned a total of four Jeep vehicles. My most recent purchase was the 2005 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited. Jeep has made some great improvements on their Wrangler Rubicon (compared to their SE or X ...

Wrangler Owners- this is what you've been waiting for

by   gpete13 ,  Mar 2, 2006
Pros: More trunk space and flip top! All in a Wrangler!
Cons: Factory craftmaship, mileage (its a given)
The Bottom Line: I love the extra room! I love Wranglers so this is great!
Review: I purchased a new 2005 Wrangler Unlimited at the start of the summer of 2005. My previous Wrangler, 2001 Sport, was customized and built for me. Sadly a freak accident involving a pole, a snapped rear axle and a rollover totaled it. But since the ...

A very practical, useful, unique vehicle

by   xxjdadams ,  Apr 19, 2006
Pros: Utility, ruggedness, easy to park, very reliable.
Cons: Fuel mileage (hey, it's a truck), expensive with options.
Review: Bought the 2005 Unlimited with the 4.0L straight-6 engine and 6-sp. transmission. One year later, I'm still in love with it. With the hard top, it's nice and quiet, and the privacy glass keeps gawkers at bay. Easy to maintain, very rugged, extremely ...

My 8th wrangler I lOVE these darn things

by   sportywrangler ,  Aug 14, 2005
Pros: Offroad beasts nothing can touch!!!!!!!!
Cons: Gas but hey it aint no civic
Review: Only thing that compares in my eyes toyota Trd pickup. Offroad H3s would have a hard time keeping up with some lift aditions of course. Lotsa bang for your buck and a durable machine perfect summer/winter ...

2005 Jeep Wrangler X

by   macthompson ,  Jan 3, 2006
Pros: Outstanding resale value; unmatched off road ability; FUN vehicle!!!
Cons: Really bad gas mileage; not a lot of storage room inside
Review: Its a Jeep Thing- Unless you have tried a jeep, you really won't understand why people get goofy about these vehicles. My spouse convinced me we needed a Jeep, which we bought in 2004, a basic Wrangler soft top. After admiring what seemed to be its ...

Idiotic heating/AC controls

by   dadndaf ,  Feb 6, 2005
Pros: Great off road ability (unmatched)
Cons: Uncomfortable seats and no recirculation without AC on reducing engine performance/gas mileage
Review: I started to buy a new Rubicon Unlimited until I found out you have to run the AC to enable the recirculation function to work. This is beyond stupid! That means without the AC on, the car will be filled with dust from the outside along with ...
