Pros: Challenge plays are close calls. Tips and fumbles work well.

Cons: City names list was small. No play design. Created players aren't allowed many special skills.

Pros: The return of the game that finally gave Madden the willies

Cons: Depth is minimal, clearly a tune-up for a future NFL game

The Bottom Line: 3.5 stars really.

Review: Sometimes you're forced to be creative when circumstances get in the way. 3 years ago, EA Sports prematurely eliminated the up-and-coming NFL 2K franchise by cutting an exclusive deal with the NFL itself, making Madden the only game in town for 5 years. ...
