~Powerbook G4 has Super-Powers~

by   Kieli ,  Jul 13, 2005
Pros: ~Sleek, Sexy and Silver... Just the way I strive to be.~
Cons: ~The Battery dies quickly... Especially if you are multi-tasking.~
The Bottom Line: ~If you think Macs are intimidating, think again. They are three times easier and loads better than my PC's ever were.~
Review: Oh, where to start... My gorgeous little Powerbook G4, as anyone who knows me will tell you, is one of my few obsessions. (The others being my Man, holding steady in #1 place and my cell phone pulling a close 2nd.) I got this laptop about two years ...

Outdated

by   goose1785 ,  Sep 11, 2007
Pros: Lightweight, easily stored.
Cons: Not the most top of the line model anymore.
The Bottom Line: There are better and cheaper now so I wouldn't recommend buying one.
Review: I bought this April 2005 right when tiger came out and it came installed with it and everything. I mainly purchased this computer for gaming and its sleek portability. I play world of warcraft online with it quite abit and find it more than ...

Mac Attack – The review for those thinking of converting

by   belynch ,  Nov 29, 2005
Pros: Brilliant design and fantastic functionality
Cons: Hot battery and a loud CD drive
The Bottom Line: Convert PC people, there is a better machine out there for you! It's not perfect, but it's far on that side of the spectrum.
Review: Update. All is not well in Mac Land. It turns out that the casing of my G4 was warped during shipment, which creates a unsteady balance when I type. I've fixed it by putting 7 business cards underneath the culprit corner until I can ship it out to be ...

Best of the Last PPC PowerBooks

by   geoffinak ,  Sep 26, 2006
Pros: Reliable, ease of use, long service life, Powerful for the high end user.
Cons: Few Apple Stores hard to see one. Other computer stores know NOTHING about Apple products.
The Bottom Line: The most misunderstood computer, except by those who own them. Buy one you will never go back. Quality, versatility, more power then yo will ever need and runs everything
Review: I think Steve jumped the gun a little with Intel chips, but that is history and so on we go. This review is for the last PPC 1.67 Powerbook. Mine has a 17 inch screen with 128 mbs of video RAM, which gives a lot of landscape but is surprisingly ...

A PC killer in only 15.2 inches...

by   skapa ,  Sep 25, 2005
Pros: Super fast processing, bulletproof design, great screen, very reliable
Cons: A little pricey, battery gets hot, buy an extra battery
The Bottom Line: I would recommend this to anyone who wants more power and the reliability that PC's can't seem to touch. Get this laptop!!!
Review: I have been working on Macs for the past 2.5 years and have come to appreciate those who have worked on them from the beginning. My Power book will process tasks faster than any PC on the market and will do it looking good all the way. Even though ...

An almost perfect computer

by   cloudgazer ,  May 17, 2005
Pros: Its beautiful, powerful, light, slim and a mac
Cons: Expensive software, not the best international support.
The Bottom Line: Make the switch. The Mac makes computing fun and simple.
Review: My early computing experiences took place on a Mac, but for the last 10 years I've used a PC. I've just switched back to using a Mac, and I couldn't be happier. Sure, there is a small learning curve, but within a week I was trying to get my PC to do ...

Awesome computer

by   jared4289 ,  Jul 21, 2005
Pros: Great graphics, good for development
Cons: A little expensive
Review: Macs are definitely the way to go. Their look-and-feel is so much better than PCs and more streamlined. Now, with Tiger out, the functions of the OS in OSX eat, chew up, and spit out Windows XP. I really like Spotlight and Dashboard. They make my ...

Amazing Computer

by   csetech ,  Aug 29, 2005
Pros: Display, keyboard, trackpad, OS, .........
Cons: None significant, although computer can heat up if heavily used.
Review: I have had my laptop since April with almost no problems; none relating to the computer. I upgraded the computer to the fullest extent. The 15 inch computer is very portable, while still very powerful -- taking the best of both the 12 and 17 inch ...
