by   jbhut ,  Sep 6, 2008
Pros: Instant On, Solid State Hard Drive, Linux Run, 2 lbs!
Cons: More memory would be nice, glossy sheen is ok
The Bottom Line: Great buy for your money for any college kid, granny or busines professional on the go that wants to stay in touch.
Review: Aspire One by Acer Never Be Alone Again! The Aspire One by Acer is a small laptop in the generation of “netbooks.” Netbooks are small mobile laptops with minimal features that are designed for surfing ...

Travelers' best friend!

by   cmorgan74 ,  Aug 19, 2008
Pros: Very portable and lightweight, love the linux system, easy to use out of the box!
Cons: Shorter battery life, not many accessories available for this product
The Bottom Line: Definitely a benefit to anyone who does extensive travel at home or abroad - peace of mind with a one year mfg international warranty included!
Review: We have been looking for a good travel computer for quite some time, as we do quite a bit overseas travel. Unfortunately having a full sized laptop was a major pain in the rear - dragging it around with the weight, the bulky padded bags, etc. The Acer ...

Best bang for the buck netbook

by   fliving ,  Oct 9, 2008
Pros: Very light, screen resolution is crisp and clear.
Cons: Battery only last 2 to 2.5 hours. Upgrading to 6 cell will help though.
The Bottom Line: Like what I've said, there are other netbook with same specs or even better but this one is best bang for the buck. Cheaper compared with other same specs netbook.
Review: I think all netbooks out there are trying to out specs each other. Acer on the other hand has a good specs plus its cheaper tham most of its competitors namely Asus Eee PC, MSI Wind or the HP mini note. The price of Aspire One at the time I ...

Pros: A really low price, ease of use, and durability.
Cons: Battery life.
The Bottom Line: If you can pick this up for about $300, there's no downside.
Review: I bought this computer in 2002, with Office XP operating system and lots of goodies. It is now 2008, and I'm still using it daily. I would have to say this is a really durable, dependable computer. I paid $500. plus tax in 2002, and it's now ...
