Excellent two-line corded/cordless model. Clean, clear, functional.

Pros: Good sound, with solid construction. Clean, clear, and uncluttered operation. Excellent value.
Cons: Not for the gadget-happy. Some unfortunate limitations. Only one mailbox per line. Poor battery backup.
The Bottom Line: Unless you've got to have every possible gadgety feature, this is a great choice.
Review: This phone sits in a real sweet spot between capability and complexity. The button layout is clear, and each button does exactly what you'd expect it to. And unlike many phones these days, it seems some attention was paid to ergonomics and sound ...

An Impressive Exterior Can't Conceal Several Surprising Quirks

Pros: The corded base unit has an impressive, pseudo-businesslike exterior. Admirably bright-and-legible LCD/display.
Cons: Sound quality of user-recordable greetings suprisingly mediocre. Tediously inconvenient user interface (for on-screen menu-navigation).
The Bottom Line:
This perennially overpriced model's corded base unit has a remarkably bright-and-legible LCD/display. But why do its user-recorded greetings sound so mediocre, and why is its menu-navigation so tediously unintuitive? Review: Prefatory note #1: The majority of consumers need only read the final ("Summary") portion of this review (i.e., feel free to skip immediately to Section 9).Prefatory note #2: Despite my mediocre three-star rating, I "pretty well" ...

Pros: Design is best feature
Cons: Poor audibility of outgoing message and speakerphone usage.
The Bottom Line: Hands on trial before making purchase.
Review: Having done a lot of research, the marketing folks at AT&T did there job convincing me this was the right phone for an office/home situation. Having seen photos (design and color scheme was perfect for my decor) and read as much as I could, the next ...

Not good for business

Pros: Has most of the features one would want for this type of system.
Cons: Transfer feature not good, voice quality, line selection.
Review: Purchased this system for a church to replace a Panasonic that no longer would keep the handsets registered. Though it does have a number of good features, it lacks some important ones. We could not get the hold, announce call, then transfer feature to ...

Pros: nice looks, pleasing & functional buttons, great setup for 2Line office
Cons: horrible speaker phone glitches - causing phone to be unacceptable for business use
Review: This phone has pleasing looks, buttons and features for office use. Unfortunately, the following problems make it less than desirable for home office use 1) During conference calls while on speaker the incoming voice sounds great, but your voice will ...

Pros: Great features 2-line phone/answer/cordless
Good for listening in private OR speaker
Great phone book/CID feature
Cons: Battery life
Intermittenly poor outgoing audio quality on cordless
Can't hang the phone base
The Bottom Line: Unless I can resolve the outgoing quality, I'm forced to replace this phone. If you require 2-way communications, look elsewhere.
Review: I've got VoIP service for home and home office. I'd been perfectly happy with my other AT&T 5.8 phone, which is still in service upstairs on the house line, but I wanted a 2-line system for my office so that I could cover both home and office on a ...

Pros: Easy to switch between lines. Hold feature nice. Two lines nice.
Cons: Battery life is very short on cordless. Even with new battery.
Review: I liked the phone initially when we got it. It really does well as long as the batteries on the cordless works. I don't use the base unit other than for messaging. I like that it's two line so that I can switch between work and home lines. The ...

Pros: It Looks nice. Has 2 lines. Does not cancel our WiFi out.
Cons: Worthless Answering System and bad cordless unit.
The Bottom Line: IMHO Cell phones sold by AT&T (excluding Iphone) make great paper weights and their land line phones are useful for propping doors open.
Review: This phones answering machine will just record 1 message, then it goes to a line in use mode and won't answer any other calls, the phone just rings & rings. When you play messages back, they break up. So you re-play them to try and hear it, but each ...

Pros: ATT customer service people are pretty nice and helpful.
Cons: Poor/faulty design, poor function, poor quality. Not a wise investment for a small business.
The Bottom Line: As a home based business, I would not recommend this phone system. Not worth the price or aggravation.
Review: I run a small home-based business. I'm on the phone for hours every day. I needed more mobility than I had with the current two-line landline phone system I was using, so opted for this model ATT. The additional cordless seemed a good way to be able to ...

Pros: looks nice.
Cons: answering machine, speaker phone, head set all stink.
The Bottom Line: Keep looking for a better option. There are a lot of phones out there and this one shouldn't make it to your home or office.
Review: If I knew then what I know now, this phone would not have been purchased. I looked to AT&T as a reputable manufacturer and that was my first mistake. Out of the box, the phone was easy to install and staff were able to learn the functions quickly. ...
