Altec Lansing IM600

by   jmares ,  Apr 17, 2008
Pros: Great Sound quality, Satisfying lows (bass), Remote, ipod dock, FM, remote, aux input, stylish
Cons: No carrying case
The Bottom Line: The best portable speaker system out there. Do not hesitate, crushes any competition out there.
Review: The Altec Lansing IM600 are truly one of the best portable speakers available. Your most important feature must be sound quality, which definitely doesn't disappoint. Altec lives up to its name, and the speakers have incredible trebles and mid's, as ...

Altec Lansing InMotion 600 is filling my home with music

by   ldon526 ,  May 24, 2009
Pros: Nice sound, sleek looks, enhanced sound feature
Cons: occassional sound distortion
The Bottom Line: This small iPod speaker system produces nice sound but with some occasional distortion. But if you can find it at the right price, this is a good choice.
Review: I wanted to purchase speakers for my iPod Classic to use in our living room. My main requirements were price (under $150) and sound quality, and a clock-radio speaker was not an option. Research lead me to purchase the Altec Lansing InMotion ...

Altec IM600- Sleek look, decent sound, some compatibility issues

by   xxskagirlxx ,  Mar 4, 2008
Pros: Clear and well balanced sound, takes up little space, looks sleek, optional rechargeable battery
Cons: Not completely compatible with iPod Touch
The Bottom Line: Attractive in looks, sound, and price. This is a must have if you can't afford a Bose.
Review: My husband and I were in the market for a bookshelf system so we could listen to our iPods in our living room. We wanted one that was sleek looking, provided decent sound, could fit in the bookshelf (15" across), and was compatible with both the iPod ...

The inMotion is in

by   yankeetiger ,  Mar 8, 2009
Pros: Portable, decent sound quality, easy buttons
Cons: Price, hhard to fold in/out
The Bottom Line: It's great if you need a small, portable docking system for iPod.
Review: At first glance, it's just another portable music player. It was to me when I first got it at Best Buy, and I'm never disappointed there. Upon attempting to open the device, it proved a difficult task: there's a small button in the middle that releases ...

The iHome with a nice look, great sound, and many features!

by   boringmonkey23 ,  Nov 2, 2008
Pros: nice design, sleek look, sound quality, remote, cheaper than others
Cons: no carrying case, no clock
The Bottom Line: I recommend this product to everyone who has an iPod and not an iHome yet!
Review: The Altec Lansing Docking Stationis a great device with many nice features!  You can listen to an iPod, the radio, or even another source.  You can plug in another radio or CD player and listen to that.  Although I wish there was an ...

Excellent Portable iPod Speaker System

by   joda_b ,  Jun 29, 2008
Pros: Long Battery Life, iPod Dock syncs to PC, Solid Construction, ultra portable, built-in antenna
Cons: Poor bass (low frequency), horrible FM radio reception, limited iPod control from remote
The Bottom Line: If you need a sturdy, portable speaker system with a dock to sync up with a computer, this is the best I've seen.
Review: The Altec Lansing IM600 is a great portable dock/speaker system for the iPod. First thing you'll notice is that it is compact and dock portion folds up nicely. The antenna is connected to the IM600 and telescopes outward. The remote can be stored in ...

At first, not so good!

by   maumeeprof ,  Apr 26, 2008
Pros: Rich sound. Sleek package. Easy set-up. FM radio. Charges itself and iPod.
Cons: Took me two tries to get one that worked.
The Bottom Line: Altec Lansing has made a great-sounding little unit, but I am a bit concerned how long the unit will last.
Review: Right out of the box, I had trouble with my first Inmotion 600. It worked only one time with my iPod Nano 2nd generation. Then, when I turned it off and wanted to turn it back on, it wouldn't "boot up." So, I unplugged it, removed the iPod, closed it ...

inMotion iM600: As clever as it's aging!

by   theuerkorn ,  Dec 7, 2008
Pros: compact design, style, integrated battery, good treble reproduction, portability, subwoofer output, radio (no HD)
Cons: not compatible with iPhone, iTouch 2ndG, whimpy bass if stand alone
The Bottom Line: Overall excellent design and sound are countered by significant compatibility issues.
Review: This has been one of the iPod accessories we've been admiring in stores but never took home due to the $150 price tag. A recent special run by RadioShack brought this way down to $59 and finally all resistance broke and the iM600 is now part of our ...
