Pros: great cast; Hugh Grant in a different sort of role
Cons: mostly dry humor
The Bottom Line: Movie set behind the scenes of theatre circa 1947; actors Alan Rickman, Hugh Grant do a great job in this somewhat "uncomfortable" movie.
Review: And Awfully Big Adventure is listed as a comedy, and praises it's comedy all over the cover of the dvd, but I would not necessarily call it as such. It does have it's dry humor in several places, but it's far from hilarious as it is praised ...

Pros: Good cast, the real story backstage
Cons: A bit confusing at times
The Bottom Line: A great story about backstage theatre life, a girl's introduction to real life, and the strange things that can happen.
