Bead Addicts, This One's for You!

by   cathyb53 ,  Feb 10, 2001
Pros: Beautiful projects, interesting articles, instructions usually clear & easy to follow
Cons: only 6 issues/year! I want one every week!
The Bottom Line: An excellent, practical, and positively yummy aid to the art and craft of beadwork, whether you make the projects or just drool over the pictures.
Review: Addiction. It's a word that's tossed around a lot nowadays - you got your sex addicts, your drug addicts, your gambling addicts, your thrill addicts...such a somber subject, such grim and life-destroying issues. But bead addiction - now...

Welcome to Beadaholics Anonymous Bead & Button Magazine

by   wychic ,  Aug 23, 2007
Pros: great pictures, awesome projects in a range of skill levels and techniques
Cons: if you're not interested in full-range beading might be a bit you can't use
The Bottom Line: Definitely recommended to beaders who want to learn everything there is to know in the field! Intermediate-advanced especially.
Review: Hello, my name is Rebecca and I'm a beadaholic. My addiction started about fifteen years ago. It began harmless enough...I just thought I'd pick up a few seed beads and make a 4-H project to put in the fair. I never knew it would end up ruling my ...

I Have Every Issue Ever Published

by   satenney ,  Aug 6, 2002
Pros: Wonderful source of inspiration; good instructions; something for beaders at all levels; value for money
Cons: Many projects not my taste "out-of-the-box"; articles don't give sources for materials
The Bottom Line: If you're a beader, or thinking about becoming one, you must read this magazine.
Review: I have subscribed to Bead & Button since its very first issue back in 1994, and I have kept every single copy. Why? Because I LOVE to look at this magazine.

I consider myself to be an intermediate-level beader, and a lot of what I have...

Bead a Path to this Magazine - The 1st and Still the BEST

by   bluelu96 ,  Apr 1, 2005
Pros: Variety of projects, etc. EYE CANDY!! Excellent product resource. Inspiring. For beginner and expert alike.
Cons: Only 6 issues a year. Some people have problems with all the ads. I don't.
The Bottom Line: Old or young, male or female, beginner or expert, this is THE quintessential beading magazine. A definite must-have on the bookshelves of all beaders and creative jewelry artists.
Review: Bead & Button magazine debuted in February 1994. Back then it consisted of 31 pages, covered only 7 projects, had NO (yes, I said NO) advertising and cost $3.95. A little expensive for what it offered, but hard core beaders appreciated the eye-candy ...

For serious bead-a-holics

by   badmom ,  Apr 1, 2000
Pros: detailed instructions, lots of ads offering supplies, loaded with information
Cons: needs to be a 24 or 36 time a year magazine
Review: I am not in love with this magazine, I'm in lust! I can't wait for my next issue to arrive, they could produce it twice a month and it wouldn't be enough! But then, I guess you have to be adicted to beading to understand that!

I have...

Pros: The whole magazine
Cons: Not Enough issues! I want MORE!
Review: I have been a beader for over 5 years. For the first part of my hobby I was VERY frustrated when I wasn't able to get books that didn't cost me a fortune to help me with my basic beading skills. Then a friend introduced me to Beads & Buttons. I...

by   LisaS ,  Nov 22, 1999
Pros: Good photos and project instructions, ads tell you where to get supplies
Cons: A little expensive for a thin magazine
