Review: I got a new computer security camera for Christmas, and it needed an ethernet adapter for installation. That was Greek to me, so I went to Staples to get an "ethernet adapter". I was attracted to this one for several reasons: the requirements are a ...

Great durability and support, a little slow

by   colstudent69 ,  Apr 12, 2005
Pros: Rugged, withstands low temperatures well, drivers easily available
Cons: slower than USB 2.0
The Bottom Line: A great USB 1.1 Adapter that met all our needs. A little slow, might be time to get a USB 2.0 Adapter if you need more speed.
Review: We use these adapters for our projects in remote and hazardous environments in Alaska. We had to choose a USB-Ethernet adapter that could withstand cold temperatures and continue to operate. It also had to be able to withstand some abuse as the ...

Slow and Easy

by   neverberead ,  Jan 13, 2003
Pros: Ease of install, Ease of connectivity
Cons: Networking Speed
The Bottom Line: If you want to transfer big files, look for a standard PCI card. Small files or light network use should pose no problem with this USB adapter.
Review: With this product you can easily add a USB capable machine to your network. But, since USB has limited throughput, you'll have a major bottleneck.

I tested this on a DELL 8200.
