A complete guide with many drawings but short descriptions

Pros: Great illustrations, great organization

Cons: Descriptions might be too short for some people

The Bottom Line: If you buy a bird feeder, or are just an average birder, this is an excellent resource.

Review: There are many, many, many guidebooks on birds out there. There are the general field guides such as this one (Peterson and Audubon, for instance). Then there are the more specific, which might focus on individual families such as hummingbirds. And then ...
