Pros: Attractive, spacious interior, relatively inexpensive
Cons: Questionable Black & Decker reliability/durability, gets very hot
The Bottom Line: While it's not a stinker by design B&D's appliances have declined seriously in quality. If it wasn't a gift it would have been exchanged.
Review: Background A little more than 3 years ago, when our B

& Decker TRO355 Toaster Oven gave up the ghost after 13 years we replaced it with another of the same model. A modestly priced toaster oven with modest ...

Pros: Very attractive, modern exterior and almost the perfect size.
Knobs that made sense.
Cons: Temperatures off. Inside dimensions smaller than most 4-slice ovens. Poor rack fit. Poor toasting.
The Bottom Line: If the temperature problem is a defect and not a design flaw, this oven might be satisfactory. Try it if you like the look, but make sure it's returnable.
Review: I bought this oven one month ago from Bed Bath & Beyond. A big selling point was the sales persons statement that it was their best seller with no returns-so far. I also liked the black and steel exterior with modern styling and the knob ...

Pros: Uh... It's pretty?
Cons: Terribly uneven performance as a toaster and an oven. No toasting sensor.
The Bottom Line: Shocked that toaster oven performance could be so bad as a toaster and as an oven.
Review: I had a Black and Decker toaster oven, probably manufactured in the late 1970's. It was small but worked very well. Eventually, after a good 20 years of use, the control for making toast broke and would not lock in place. It was replaced with an Oster - ...

Pros: The box it came in out lasted the actual toaster oven!
Cons: Everything...very poorly made product. Elements and knobs broke.
The Bottom Line: Be aware that Black and Decker sold their small appliance business to Applica in 1989 and B&D does not warranty the product.
Review: What a mistake this purchase was....DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT MAKING A PURCHASE OF THIS PRODUCT. I purchased the first one in October '06 and it broke down within 4 weeks. Took it back to where I purchased it and they gave me a replacement and also ...

Pros: NONE
Cons: Breaks after 3 uses and they don't contact you when you e-mail them.
Review: I purchased the TRO700 Toaster Oven about a month ago. I used it 3 times and the toasting knob broke off. I e-mailed Black & Decker and they never e-mailed me back. They obviously know that their product is inferior or they would have gotten back to ...

Pros: Oven is nice to look at, but form does NOT replace function.
Cons: Cheap plastic knobs used to turn metal interior parts break after a few uses.
Review: When the toaster knob broke on my 1st oven I called the warranty replacement company & they sent me a new oven 2 weeks after I filled out forms & sent $8 check for postage. Had 2nd oven 1 month & it broke. Save yourself a headache & buy the Krupps! ...

Pros: None that I can think of
Cons: It looks newer than my old one
Review: After many years of owning, first the GE and then the Black & Decker Toast-r-Ovens, I recently purchased the TR0700. After a week, I have now cleaned the old B&D that was retired to the basement because it looked tired and have replaced the new one with ...
