Pros: Fabulous characters, beautiful illustrations, interesting story...
Cons: A *bit* slow on occasion...
The Bottom Line: Wonder what your favorite Marvel heroes would have been like in Europe four centuries ago? Wonder no further. Neil Gaiman has brought them to life in a new way.
Review: Neil Gaiman is best known as the creator of the Sandman series of graphic novels and as a tongue-in-cheek sci-fi/fantasy writer. His creations have sold millions of copies around the world and have earned the British writer a dedicated cult following. ...

Pros: A Masterpiece from a genius. Unlike anything that had gone before.
Cons: A bit slow getting its feet under it.
The Bottom Line: Neil Gaiman is a literary genius. Only he could have pulled off something so strange and wonderful.
Review: 1602 Written by Neil Gaiman, Illustrated by Andy Kubert. There is a theory that many events must conjoin to make anything worthwhile happen. There is another theory that there are great motifs that repeat themselves over and over. Comics ...

Pros: Well written, ingenious, clever, fascinating
Cons: Complicated, involved, requires some foreknowledge.
The Bottom Line: Highly recommended for intelligent comic readers, or those who believe comics have no redeeming value.
Review: I never think about it too much, but I'm a Marvel kinda guy. The double initial thing (Peter Parker, Matt Murdock, etc) bugs the crap out of me, but I'll blame Stan Lee for that and keep my complaints to myself. I'd passed this comic buy at the ...

Pros: A perfect combination of exquisite graphics, tight storyline and Marvel's best characters.
Cons: Non-Marvel addicts will miss plenty of inside jokes and nuance.
The Bottom Line: The best graphic novel I've come across in early 2005. I highly recommend it to any fan of the genre.
Review: In the world of comics and graphic novels, Neil Gaiman is a contemporary legend, mostly for his incomparable work on the Sandman series, many times over a New York Times bestseller. Published as a hardcover collection of what was originally a series ...

Pros: Marvel Characters, Historically Feasible (different than historically accurate), Great Art
Cons: Slow moving at points, needs a sequel soon!
The Bottom Line: An imaginative story using classic characters with plenty of plot twists to keep you hooked!
Review: Mr. Gaiman is known for his monstrous imagination and creativity when it comes to stories. It is no wonder that Marvel was sure to get him to write their story of the entire Marvel universe supplanted into the year 1602. The main problem with this ...
