Pros: An extraordinary ability to fairly examine two sides of a difficult, provocative issue.
Cons: Some readers would take issue with there being two sides to the issue at all.

Pros: Picoult's description of high school life is so accurate, so vivid.
Cons: The ending isn't as much a shock as the book intends.
