Alan Moore makes the Swamp Thing his own

Pros: Dramatic and thought-provoking story, brilliantly scripted, imaginative art
Cons: Narrative sometimes muddled or unoriginal, irritating presence of Etrigan, simplistic colouring
The Bottom Line: Alan Moore's writing is some of the best I've ever seen, complemented by talented artists. Swamp Thing is a good character, but in Saga Of The Swamp Thing he's fantastic.

Rising up from the depths...

Pros: Clever and intelligent scripting, beautiful artwork.
Cons: Rather plain colouring, second story has a rather obvious ending
The Bottom Line: A must read for anyone who likes comics and worthy of attention for anyone who thinks they don't.
