Pros: A textured, beautifully written, amazingly touching and affecting book.
Cons: Contains real sadness. If you try to shelter your child from that, steer clear.
The Bottom Line: This is a book deserving of reading by young adults and adults alike, as well as for younger children who have experienced real loss.
Review: Bibliotherapy is the use of literature for the purpose of healing. A child with problems can feel less alone in the world by reading about another child with similar problems. Walk Two Moons would be excellent therapy for a child who has ...

Pros: Appeals to adults and children alike!
Cons: Hard to put down!
Review: Walk Two Moons, by Sharon Creech, came highly-recommended to me by a friend who also happens to be a children's book author. She didn't tell me much except that I ought to get the book and read it.
I took her advice and was glad I did!... |
