The Jury Is Still Out

by   knegrete ,  Apr 4, 2006
Pros: Quiet, uncluttered front panel, cool status display on the front
Cons: Inconsistent cleaning, more shallow, small silverware holder
The Bottom Line: Bosch has an excellent reputation which is what sold me. It has all the bells and whistles. I just wished the dishes were spotless the first time.
Review: The last new dishwasher I had was a relatively top of the line Maytag circa 2001. Boy, you could load that puppy so that dishes were overlapping each other and everything would still come out spotless. Bought a new house two years ago with an older ...

Extremely Quiet, Somewhat Hard to Install, Quirky, Love it

by   exm22psu ,  Apr 2, 2006
Pros: Sleet looks, silence, cleaning, rack design, cycle options, overall quality
Cons: rinse agent consumption, cost, installation, not included essential part
The Bottom Line: Definitely consider it, especially with rebates. I got a rebate from Bosch, Sears, and then got an extra 10% off for opening an account with them. I saved nearly half.
Review: I have had this dishwasher for over a week now after I got tired of a Whirlpool 1500xlt that did an average job of washing dishes, was still loud enough I had to turn up the TV, and ended up having a bad pump after a year. Generally satisfied but not ...

It works great

by   threekds2dg ,  Jul 10, 2006
Pros: Superior cleaning as long as you follow instructions. Large capicity.
Cons: Does not dry plastic well.
Review: I purchase a Bosch dishwasher about 6 weeks ago. I love it. We had a knowledgable sales person who explained the drying cycle to us. It does not heat the dishes the way a traditional dishwasher does, somehow the water is drawn from the dishes to the ...

So far, so good

by   tnttnttnt ,  May 5, 2006
Pros: Cleans well, looks beautiful, very quiet, flexible loading, utensil rack in lower drawer
Cons: Flimsy, small silverware baskets; small interior overall
Review: We remodeled our kitchen and I was looking for a unit to replace my almond Kitchen Aid Superba dishwasher.Bosch was the only manufacturer I could find that offered an all-stainless exterior, hidden controls and no protruding handles. I've had my ...

Very Quiet, Nice Looking, But this ones is going back!

by   flashmann ,  Dec 10, 2006
Pros: Amazingly Quiet, good looks.
Cons: Soaking wet dishes. Stupid rubber flap in the front kickplate that protrudes beyond the door.
Review: Our old Maytag finally gave up the ghost, and had to be replaced. It was about twelve years old and made so much noise that conversations in the kitchen were difficult. So, when we went shopping, the Db rating was very important. I heard a lot ...

Will return this washer - Do not recommend

by   wogeypogey ,  May 27, 2006
Pros: Looks, very quiet
Cons: Does not rinse and dry well. Terrible manual, nothing about the front panel display.
The Bottom Line: What do you want a dishwasher for? Clean and dry perfectly? The Bosch will NOT do that perfectly. Go with a washer with traditional heating element.
Review: I just purchased the Bosch dishwasher to replace my 10 year old GE. I've been wanting to replace the ugly old GE for awhile but was waiting for a good excuse to do so. Finally, it started to leak. I have to admit I had no complains about the GE's ...
