Britax Roundabout: Safe at any price

by   jubrismom ,  Jan 17, 2000
Pros: Installs easily, 5 pt harness, Easy to use, attractive
Cons: Higher priced than most other car seats, Not easy to recline once in place
The Bottom Line: Although more costly than other seats, the safety features combined with the user friendly design make this seat the cream of the crop.
Review: *updated April 11, 2001

I bought this carseat when my now 2 1/2 year old was about 8 months. She had outgrown her infant seat and needed a rear facing seat that could accomodate her size. After looking at several other car seats we...

Worried about installing your infant seat correctly?? 8 out of 10 are not.

by   mamaknowsbest ,  May 4, 2001
Pros: Easy to install. Velcro keeps straps pulled back. Easy chest clip.
Cons: 2 Britax in 3 years... I can't find one negative feature.
The Bottom Line: Spend the $200. Think about how many times a day you use a carseat. Once, twice a day?
Review: Once installed, the Britax will not move a 1/4 of inch. Even in the rear facing position. You can install the Britax in any car in a matter of minutes. No seat belt clips are needed. A 'rolled towel' for propping needed.

I am a bit...

From Cradle to 40 lbs.

by   JeanParker ,  Sep 27, 2000
Pros: Safe, comfortable, good-looking carseat
Cons: pricey
Review: I love this product.

Like most parents we put a lot of thought into our carseat choice. Of course, safety was our first concern. Style & price were our next considerations. After a few store visits to get the lay of the land, we decided...

Simply the Best!

by   mrschip4 ,  Oct 14, 2000
Pros: great customer service, sturdy construction, durability
Cons: none, unless you have a dog that likes to chew on carseat!
Review: Let me start by saying that I don't own one of these carseats, but I wish I did. And I guarantee that if I ever need another carseat, this is the one I will buy. After dealing with customer service for Britax about this carseat, I am now their biggest...

The super confy car seat

by   look30 ,  Mar 19, 2007
Pros: Fits in a small car,5 points restraint, comfortable, quality built and materials
Cons: Extra covers are expensive but you can get them from Ebay for less.
The Bottom Line: Thsi is the best you can buy at this hour, combining European quality and North Aerican Safety standards.
Review: After having a car accident (not my fault) my insurance offered to pay for another car seat to replace the excellent Primo Viaggio I used to have. Now replacing the Viaggio is a tough exercise cause most of the car seats you can buy are as comfortable ...

So Great We Bought One For Each Car!

by   birthingbooks ,  May 30, 2001
Pros: Easy to clean & install, extra durable newborn to toddler, GREAT BUY
Cons: Lowest 2 points sometimes hard to connect to buckle
The Bottom Line: It's not big, bulky or too expensive, easy to install, hard for child to climb out, stylish, not too heavy, and "best buy" for the money.
Review: This is definitely the BEST car seat on the market. You don't need to buy fancy and expensive safety attachments like the Mighty Tite to clip onto this because it's already built with a locking clip that's super tight. It's so easy to install for...

Britax is worth it

by   christieray ,  Mar 20, 2001
Pros: Safe and Sturdy
Cons: Bear to Install
The Bottom Line: Once you get it installed, it's great. No worries.
Review: Safety-wise, you can't beat Britax. So if safety is your only consideration, then get it at Rightstart.com for $179 with free shipping.

The primary drawback of the Britax is that it's a bear to install. The tether adds an extra degree of...

The best car seat you can buy!

by   steph_tripp ,  Oct 20, 2000
Pros: Extremely safe (does not move!), comfortable
Cons: Takes a few minutes to install in your car...
Review: My husband was in an accident in our Honda Civic. Luckily, we were not at fault and both myself and my son were not in the car at the time. We were especially grateful our son was not in the car because the brunt of the impact was on the side of the...

Worth every penny, plus!!

by   ashtonsmommy ,  Sep 1, 2000
Pros: Easy to install, use, and clean
Cons: expensive, but well worth it!
Review: I purchased the Britax Roundabout carseat in September of 1999, after hearing many rave reviews about it from my fellow mommy friends. My son was starting to be uncomfortable in his infant carrier/carseat (Evenflo On My Way) and it was getting to be too...

Worth the price!

by   kimck ,  Jul 27, 2001
Pros: fits tight into car, 5 point harness, tether
Cons: hard to move from car to car
The Bottom Line: Worth the price!
Review: We are very happy with this car seat. It fits into the car so much tighter than our infant seat did. The built in locking clip is a godsend for us and so is the easy to adjust shoulder harnesses. The seatbelts do not tangle on us either. We've also...
