ZR600 Bargain

by   aftershock929 ,  Mar 1, 2006
Pros: Cheap. Great colors and sharpness. Widescreen capture. Light and SMALL. Remote. Flip over LCD.
Cons: No built in LCD light like the ZR700.
The Bottom Line: Another quality and dependable product from Canon at a value price, I couldn't be happier with this purchase.
Review: I just bought the ZR600 to capture family moments as I'm expecting my first child in a few months. I wanted something easy to use, with a good point and shoot capability. The widescreen recording was also a feature I was looking for since I have a 46" ...

Perfect entry-level videocamera

by   cliffrc360 ,  Sep 29, 2006
Pros: Small size, SD slot, widescreen, Firewire port
Cons: SD picture quality, buttons to push to activate functions during recording.
The Bottom Line: If you need an entry level camera, and want the ability to convert home movies to DVDs via PC. You can't go wrong here.
Review: I got this for my b-day, mainly to capture our upcoming child in all her tiny glory. I have played with the camera extensively to be able to understand all it can do. First, the good (which far outweigh the bad). The camera is small, which I was ...

Good entry-level choice

by   robrr7 ,  Jul 14, 2006
Pros: Good price, good sound, good videos with enough light, easy to use.
Cons: Needs firewire or USB accessory for computer use, not good as a camera.
The Bottom Line: Not everyone needs an expensive video camera. If you just want the basics, this is an excellent buy.
Review: We also bought the ZR-600 for the arrival of our first child, and have not been disappointed. First, the cons. Like all entry-level video cameras, it works best with a great deal of light, and much less well without it. While it has a camera ...

I love it!

by   joeyoyo ,  Mar 19, 2006
Pros: good quality camcorder. and price is good
Cons: improve on the camera funcation, and mpeg format
Review: This is my 3rd camcorder since early 1990's, a JVC, and a Sharp, and this Canon. I was very happy with my JVC, but not the sharp. And to compare with those two I had. This canon is much a better product than other two. The picture is very clear, the ...

Easy to use. Bought the ZR 850 because.........

by   rajii ,  Jan 19, 2008
Pros: Nice joystick controls, smooth easy zoom, fits easily into my cargo pants side pocket.
Cons: Bought 6/25/2007.Total blackout by November. Not powering on. Urgent assistance needed. scjoe@tstt.net.tt
The Bottom Line: I would recommend this product to someone, although mine malfunctioned, the overall quality of the product was good, including price, which is cheaper than most others on the market.
Review: The Z600 is compact, lightweight and even good looking. I bought this camera for my son's school sports day, wanting to capture the moment. This being my first camcorder and thinking about purchasing a camera shortly after,I was pleasantly surprised ...

Junk

by   canonslayer ,  Aug 9, 2006
Pros: It came in a box that I was able to return it in as well.
Cons: This camera. Canon customer service.
Review: This camcorder was advertised as having the ability to dub audio in after recording, but it is not able to. I found out the hard way - I bought the piece of garbage. Canon refuses to own up to the mistake and I am out $6.36 shipping plus 10% restocking ...
