Feels Real

by   jburhans ,  Aug 16, 2006
Pros: Feels real. Intuitive. Truly plug-n-play under Windows XP. Relatively inexpensive. Great training aid.
Cons: Bulky to mount on a desktop. Possibly weak clamp mounts.
The Bottom Line: If you're into civil aviation and want to brush up or sharpen your skills, buy it. SO much more accurate than a joystick.
Review: I'm a student pilot, used to flying C150's, C172's and Piper Cherokees (PA140). This thing feels like I'm flying a Cessna. I got this and t he CH products rudder pedals and it works wonderfully well. I've noticed ...

I Love it and use it every day...

by   ntl1991 ,  May 29, 2006
Pros: Lots of buttons Plug and Play, FS2004 Compatible, Easy to set up and use
Cons: Noisy Spring inside, Need a thick desk to clamp hinges to...
Review: I bought this a year ago at Gateway.com. It has helped me with my Flight Training when used with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004. I love how realistic it is compared to a joystick or even the keyboard. I use the yoke in conjunction with the CH Products ...

BEST YOKE FOR FS9

by   fleahead ,  Apr 18, 2006
Pros: Sturdy construction. Smooth operation.
Cons: No complaints
Review: All CH Products uniits are a little on the pricy side, but I've had the yoke for about a year now with no sign of failure. The clamps are a little sticky, but I don't remove it often. You can find all CH Products items on EBay, and save a ton. I also ...

Good yoke for civil aviation

by   marnault ,  Sep 1, 2003
Pros: Lots of buttons, 3 throttles, USB, compatible with most Flight simulators
Cons: Expensive, Possible difficulties with clamps, designed only for civil aviation
The Bottom Line: If you love flying civilian aircraft this is the yoke for you (especially if you don’t want to spend $400 or more)
Review: First thing I should say is that this yoke is not to be used for combat flight sims, or racing sims ...

Best Companion for Flight Simulator 2004, X

by   reumanmj ,  Oct 18, 2006
Pros: What can I say, it is far superior than flying a plane with a keyboard.
Cons: Yoke sometimes sticks when you release it back to a neutral position.
The Bottom Line: The replay value and real world control references more than pay for themselves. I would recommend getting a yoke and pedals to complete the experience!
Review: I bought this product to enhance the realism I enjoy with Microsoft's Flight Simulator 2004. Aircraft controls Each basic aircraft flight control is covered and is modeled on the yoke. You can manipulate the throttle, flaps, landing gear, prop ...

CH Flight Sim Yoke USB

by   punkertfc ,  Dec 15, 2002
Pros: Many buttons and features, 3 engine-control axis
Cons: Pitch movement seems "sticky", clamp is too thick, expensive
The Bottom Line: A very cool and very useful product, but it could be smoother, and could be priced a little better.
Review: The first thing you notice about the yoke is comfort; the yoke fits right into your hands. CH designed to the yoke to be form-fitting (to an extent). And the handles of the yoke are large enough to fit large hands, but are still shaped so that it will...

Put yourself in the cockpit

by   mikemsd ,  Jun 20, 2000
Pros: Smooth control, Lots of buttons, In the cockpit feel, Very durable
Cons: Clamps are too small for thin desks
Review: The Flight Sim Yoke by CH products is the best flight yoke I have used yet. It's a great value for the money and has many configurable buttons on it that should be enough to satisfy just about anyone.

I had some initial reservations about this...

If you're into flight simming, it's the best.

by   gagrawal ,  Jul 25, 2001
Pros: Best yoke for the money.
Cons: It's construction is a little cheesy.
The Bottom Line: Highly recommended if you are into general aviation flight simming such as MSFS, FlyII, FU3.
Review: The next best thing to this yoke is priced about $500. I got this yoke from egghead.com at only $100. Couple this with the USB rudders from CH products (also $100) and you have a great flight control combination. Apart from the x-y axis of the yoke, it...

Overall a Good Yoke

by   b777387 ,  Aug 2, 2003
Pros: For the price, a good USB yoke
Cons: One of the buttons stopped working after four months of use, poor customer service
The Bottom Line: I would get this yoke unless you want to buy an all metal one meant for flight training, which will cost you at least $250 extra.
Review: I have found the yoke to be of good quality overall. If I could, I would give it a 4 1/2 star rating ...

flight sim could be better

by   mkasdin ,  Oct 28, 2006
Pros: Worked okay for 6 months, but never went the distance.
Cons: A bit expensive for a heap of plastic, what do you expect for $100
The Bottom Line: don't bother buying it unless you are happy with replacing it in the near future.
Review: I have had the product for quite some time over one year. The device worked well (sort of) when i was flying around on my plasma screen. I had it hooked up to x-plane and with a g5 mac and a 42" plasma screen. Overall i was fairly content with it, then ...
