I LOVE this truck

by   handysamm ,  Jan 25, 2008
Pros: the V6 engine, great suspension, good gas mileage
Cons: only one extended cab door, lousy factory radio /CD player
The Bottom Line: LOVE LOVE LOVE Chevys, bets my previous old Ford, Dodge, or Toyota trucks hands down!
Review: I have the 6 cylinder version, with the extended cab, (3 doors), 2 wheel drive, automatic tranny. I average about 60 miles a day on it, with my highest being about 600 - 620 miles a week. I put a hard cap on the bed with cargo doors down each side, for ...

2002 Chevrolet S-10 Crew Cab LS

by   mrl4030 ,  Sep 7, 2005
Pros: comfortable ride, sharp looking truck
Cons: too nice to drive in the woods
The Bottom Line: if you like economical, roomy, good looking trucks, this is it
Review: I own a 2002 chevrolet S10 crew cab LS and the kids really like it. They have their own doors with deep tinted glass. Of course I think it is a nice looking truck. We had a S10 extended cab previously and this crew cab is MUCH better. The extended ...

ZR-2 Off-Road Package

by   hogsnine ,  Jan 14, 2003
Pros: ZR-2 option is as functional as it is muscular looking
Cons: Gas mileage could be better
The Bottom Line: If ride isn't a concern, the S-10 ZR-2 package is a great value. An overall dependable, fun-to-drive truck.
Review: I traded in a '93 Lumina Z-34 last year for this truck which I have been looking at since '96. I ordered it with the ZR-2 suspension and appearance package. This package comes standard with the extended cab, third door, sliding rear window, 31.5"...

2002 S10 ZR5 Crew Cab

by   edelbrok ,  Aug 12, 2002
Pros: Comfortable, lots of creature comforts, power, looks, great truck
Cons: gas mileage, price
The Bottom Line: Beautiful, powerful, wonderful. 30 thumbs up on this one.
Review: This review is on the 2002 S10 ZR5 Crew cab. This truck is a very beautiful, well made truck, and has everything one could ask for in a vehicle. The interior is the best I have seen in a vehicle. Much more comfortable than a Cadillac. The seats are...

Great Truck!

by   tjtoolmanz ,  Sep 13, 2002
Pros: Crew Cab Model - 4 doors, awsome stereo, 4x4, truck bed
Cons: no rear cup holders, no motion alarm with factory alarm (Can be added)
The Bottom Line: If you were looking into SUV's smaller to midsize, give this some serious though, or at least take a look at the S10 Crew Cab!
Review: I recently picked myself up the 2002 S10 Crew Cab. Originally I was looking at Blazers and Jimmy's because I wanted something with more power and reliability the the Windstar (95 yuck) I had.

After looking all over and talking with dozens of...

Great Small Truck

by   jfwick99 ,  Mar 3, 2003
Pros: Extended Cab, CD Player, Automatic
Cons: 2 Wheel Drive
The Bottom Line: Great for the weekend warrior
Review: This S-10 is a great small truck. The size is great for anybody. It gives you the opportunity to be able to haul load. The 4.3 V-6 gives you plenty of power to work with. I can tow a boat with no problem. The interior is nice. I personally would not sit...

2002 Chevrolet S10 ZR5 Crew Cab

by   macthompson ,  Feb 15, 2004
Pros: Very comfortable front seats, lots of headroom, extremely well laid out controls, loaded with features.
Cons: Rear seat cramped for adults, no rear cup holders, poor fuel economy in commute driving.
Review: The other review written about this truck is accurate, because standard equipment on this truck leaves nothing optional, except for On-Star and a 6 CD Changer. I bought this particular truck while looking at Chevrolet Trailblazers. I have since (nearly ...

2002 Chevy S10 LS: Extended Cab Lite

by   scmrak , lead in Cars & Motorsports at Epinions.com ,  Jun 28, 2002
Pros: handling and (V6) power
Cons: comfort, convenience, quality(?)
The Bottom Line: A good truck that could be better with a bit of effort. Strong on engine, weak on ergonomics and critter comforts.
Review: The Enterprise Rent-a-car office nearest my office has seen a lot of me over the past year or so (Ms scmrak complains that they see me more often than she does!), which factors into the cars I get when I rent there. Instead of simply handing me the keys,...

S10 regular cab/bed work truck

by   lordazores ,  Aug 11, 2007
Pros: Reliable, durable, good gas mileage
Cons: Poor ice/snow handling without 4x4, 2.2L engine a bit underpowered
The Bottom Line: Great reliable work truck for people seeking simplicity and ability to haul light loads
Review: UPDATE August 14, 2007 Well, I must've jinxed myself - today the flasher died (no turn signals). Repair cost - $11 for the part and $28 labor fee. Overall, not a bad deal since I did not get dirty and the dealership fixed this in 30 minutes. ...

2002 Chevy S-10 standard cab, short bed

by   capenfield ,  Sep 17, 2004
Pros: Standard features, interior room, powerful a/c, comfort, exterior styling.
Cons: Overly soft ride, power, gas mileage, sloppy feeling drive-train, resale value.
The Bottom Line: I would half-heartedly recommend this model due to mediocre performance but there are good standard features.
Review: I have now owned my base model 2002 S-10 for two and a half years. The only other truck that I have owned and thus the only small truck I can compare it to was my 1989 Toyota which was also a base model. Comparing the two in many ways is like comparing ...
