Improved Chrysler Quality--Revisited at 73K miles

by   GoodDad ,  Sep 5, 2000
Pros: Solid, comfortable, great sound system, unflappable all wheel drive
Cons: expensive
The Bottom Line: Highly recommended. In 3+ years of ownership and 73,000 miles, less than $500 of repairs required--(routine maintenance and tires excluded). A very satisfactory ownership experience.
Review: I purchased the 1999 Town and Country AWD in November of 1998 after looking at a number of the alternatives out there. I had intended to purchase a Toyota Sienna after a good experience with a 1992 Previa van (benignly competent but reliable as the...

Luxury and reliability

by   cdm2000 ,  Jul 16, 2000
Pros: Lots of options, leather, heated seats, driver memory settings
Cons: Price, minor service issues
Review: See an update at the end of the review
We leased our 1999 Chrysler Town&County in July 1999. We signed a 2 year lease at $350/month plus a $4500 trade in. We have an option to buy at lease end for $19,000.

Why we...

The Mom That Didn't Want a Minivan

by   dmstcengr ,  Jan 25, 2000
Pros: Luxurious feel, strong engine, smooth ride and great stereo system
Cons: Poor gas mileage, tinting makes nighttime maneuvering a bit of a challenge
Review: Yup, I was the mom that did NOT want a minivan. Cumbersome, lacking in styling, I wanted no part. I was fine zipping around town in my imported sedan, thanks. Then reality hit. With two kids and their friends, the sedan just wasn't cutting it. After...

Chrysler got it right, no doubt about it

by   wjs ,  Nov 24, 1999
Pros: Very roomy, large cargo space, easy to drive, luxury, loaded
Cons: Gas consumption
Review: The Chrysler Town & Country is the second mini van we have owned and it is a pure pleasure. I was never into min vans and really had to have my arm twisted by the family before I considered buying one. My first experience with a Mercury Villager was...

I want to drive this car forever.

by   kristinaadele ,  Jun 16, 2001
Pros: Handles great, extremely comfortable, lots of room, luxury. I love it!
Cons: Expensive, gas mileage
The Bottom Line: I love it and highly recommend it. It handles great, is very comfortable, lots of room and is easier to drive than any other vehicle I have ever driven.
Review: For years I drove a Ford Taurus wagon, but when they redesigned it and made it smaller I just couldn't fit 3 fighting kids in it so I had to get a minivan. I wasn't thrilled until I drove this Town and country. It handles great and backing up is much...

Chrysler town and courntry

by   wildlifesavr1 ,  Aug 20, 2000
Pros: large enough for a lot of luggage etc.
Cons: needs to be checked up often
Review:
I myself do not own a Town and Country but my good friends who have a family of five do. I visit them quite often and know the car pretty well. Therefore this opinion is going to be based on the outside look of the Chrysler Town and...

Luxury Disguised in the Shape of a Minivan

by   DawnProv ,  Jul 2, 2000
Pros: styling, comfort, driveability
Cons: expense
Review: I call our 1999 Chrysler Town and Country minivan our Luxury Mobile. Rather than feeling like the much maligned soccer mom in an ugly tank of a car, I feel like I am riding in style. At first I thought that I didn't "need" the leather...

by   jking3 ,  Jan 25, 2000
Pros: great car, handling, looks, luxury
Cons: rather expensive for a minivan
Review: After years of Chrysler building minivans, they finally reached nirvana. And it's called the 1999 Chrysler Town & Country Limited. It's one of the best car's I've ever owned.
One of the best aspects of it is the roominess and comfort....
