Pros: Inexpensive and easy to use, plus they work well
Cons: You do pick up talk from other family radios if they are in the same area as you
Review: My husband got me involved in hunting, hiking and mushrooming years ago. We are fortunate to have our own property of 85 acres of woods to hunt and hike on. The terrain is hilly with ravines and gullies on it. You can easily loose sight of each other,...

Pros: Works incredibly well considering the inexpensive price - far better than the old CB channel walkie talkies
Cons: Only 2 channels; no security of transmission - others can easily listen
Review: The Cobra Micro Talk1 Family Radio Service 2-way radios are very inexpensive and work very well for simple communicating tasks within a short distance. They are rated for up to 2 miles. On the open road, that was about right in flat country.

Pros: inexpensive, compact size, clear communications, long range & battery life
Cons: only 2 channels
Review: The Cobra microTALK1 is like a dream come true. For years I have bought walkie talkies that disappointed me.
I bought my pair from circuit city 6 months ago for $70, (they are now a steal for $50 a pair, don't pay a penny more) and they have been... |

Pros: small, well-built with a good range
Cons: ony two channels
Review: I have had a pair of microtalk radios for about 2 months now, and I am very happy with them. They are small and lightweight enough to fit nicely in a shirt or jeans pocket. I also like the fact that the antenna is not permanently in the "up"...

The Bottom Line: A great Value, great reliability, and all around great Necessity!

Pros: Compact, good range, versatile. Price is right!
Cons: None noted
Review: I make my living out there in the highways and byways flagging traffic. (Yes, I am that person in the road holding you up and making you late....sorry..its my job.) It is potentially a pretty dangerous job and also holds a lot of responsibility. Safety...

Pros: They work well from a fairly far distance
Cons: Battery life could be a little longer
Review: These little Cobra "walkie-talkies" were given to my two middle boys, aged 8 and 9, for Christmas by their aunt. I thought it was a bit too much to pay $70.00 for "walkie-talkies" until we started to find all sorts of great ways to...
