Cosco Alpha Omega: Recommended by SLC Children's Hospital.

by   mcknoche1 ,  Sep 9, 2000
Pros: Reasonable price, recommended by hospital staff, 5-point harness, and economical convertibility.
Cons: Not much room for front seat if carseat is rear-facing and reclined (for infants).
The Bottom Line: This is an excellent carseat! Recommended by SLC Children's Primary Hospital.

Pros: Great carseat, easy to adjust straps, can be used from 5 to 70 lbs
Cons: none really other than could tilt back a bit more

Omega- GREAT buy!

by   ONLYTRUTH ,  Jan 16, 2002
Pros: Safe, comfortable, easy to install/adjust and attractive!
Cons: somewhat large
The Bottom Line: Overall, I have no complaints for the Cosco Eddie Bauer Alpha Omega. It is sturdy, safe and comfortable and worth every penny.
Review: *Please note: There seems to be some confusion as to what seat this is. This seat is NOT the Eddie Bauer three in one seat. It is a Cosco Eddie Bauer Alpha Omega in Leather.

I have not written in quite some time, however I feel this seat...

I did my homework and found the best

by   ChefMamaT ,  May 26, 2001
Pros: Easily adjusts, never have to buy another car seat for this child.
Cons: It was a little pricey and a bit large.
The Bottom Line: It's a little large and pricey, but well worth it for what you get.
Review: When I was pregnant with our first child I spent a lot of time on the internet searching for the best baby products. When I found the Cosco Alpha Omega car seat I was a little skeptical since it claimed to safely restrain a 35 lb. child rear facing but...

This seat protects well in a crash

by   tlens ,  Jan 15, 2002
Pros: It does it's job in a crash!!
Cons: Straps can get twisted under the padded strap pads.
The Bottom Line: If you want great crash protection and ease of use, this is the seat for you.
Review: I purchased the Alpha Omega carseat when my daughter was 9 months old. She was large for her age and it is difficult to find a carseat that be used in a reverse direction for children over 20 lbs in Canada. At that time, the only seat was Cosco's Alpha...

Cosco Alpha Omega: The most for my money!!

by   ladybug23 ,  Oct 10, 2000
Pros: "grows" with my child, easy to use, worth the extra money
Cons: not compatible for a 2-door vehicle
Review: As a person who LOVES merchandise that "grows" with my child, this car seat appears to be it! When it was time to move up from the infant carrier I was using, I looked at many different car seats. I found the Alpha Omega to be the carseat...

UPDATE TO :Just got it, here's what I think so far

by   uwpce ,  Apr 11, 2002
Pros: color,weight limit
Cons: none so far (well maybe the tether), straps twist
The Bottom Line: So far I'm impressed. Seat was not that hard to install, tether system really improves stability. Straps do twist. Right now I'll recommend it to everyone.
Review: Thanks to everyone who reviewed my epinion, and made comments.

As mentioned in many of the comments, the tether was a major concern. I had it installed in the rear facing position. As many pointed out, this is NOT acceptable. Ok, so I...

A must buy!

by   kwhite15 ,  Mar 25, 2002
Pros: This car seat is very comfortable and easy to use.
Cons: It is a bit bulky when used with the base.
The Bottom Line: Buy it! Remove the strap covers for a better fit around your child and the base if the seat does not fit well in your vehicle.
Review: I just love this car seat. It was given to me at my baby shower and have been using it for my 9 month old daughter for at least two months. I loved this car seat because it came with all of the extra stuff ~ the strap covers, a pillow, and infant head...
