Black & Decker D2030 Digital Advantage Iron with Auto Shut-Off

by   hvarmit ,  Mar 26, 2009
Pros: mini lcd display, lots of steam, heats up fast
Cons: I don't like the cord, only 1 yr warranty
The Bottom Line:

The B&D D2030 Iron heats up fast, produces great steam, and has cut my ironing time in half.

Review: I've always hated ironing because I've always hated my irons. I've always bought the cheapest models because I never really used them much, not unless I was heading to town and wanted my clothes free of wrinkles. They would tear up eventually and if I ...

As Good As It Gets.

by   xarchy ,  Nov 2, 2008
Pros: Heats Fast, slides smoothly, precise temp control, creases with own weight.
Cons: a tad costly, but worth it.
The Bottom Line: It works very, very well.  Solid feel, fast heatup, smooth glide, good steam, long cord, auto shutoff, reasonable cost for features.
Review: I had very specific needs when it came time to find an iron to replace the useless lightweight model that mercifully died.  I sew and quilt, and needed an iron for pressing seams open, as well as general ironing.  Teflon coated irons ...

If you hate ironing, buy this iron!

by   punkinpie811 ,  May 13, 2009
Pros: Steam is great and ironing time is short.  Iron glides on fabric.
Cons: Poor location of steam dial.  It's easy to lower unintentionally.
The Bottom Line: This iron is relatively inexpensive.  It's pricier than some but performs as well as or better than irons costing $100 more.  Do you need to spend that on an IRON!?
Review: I have had the pleasure of being the proud owner of the B&D D2030 iron for a few months now and I cannot be more pleased with its performance. My former iron, also a Black and Decker, was failing after 12 years of hard work.  It was time ...

It makes other irons look like they're toys!

by   euchreprincess ,  Apr 19, 2009
Pros: Digital settings, burst steam and burst spray at every temp, fast heatup
Cons: On the heavy side
The Bottom Line: I paid $43.04, but I've seen it on sale for $30 at Amazon. You won't be unhappy if you buy this one at any price.
Review: I can't believe I waited so long to buy a new iron!  I was using a wedding present from 37 years ago and it just didn't seem to get hot enough. After reading the reviews on irons in Consumers Reports, this one was a clear top performer.  My ...

Love Black and Decker

by   duloc ,  Mar 3, 2008
Pros: Great steam.
Cons: non
The Bottom Line: Great steam and overall performance.
Review: I bought this iron after my top of the line Rowenta iron kept leaking and spitting on my ironing. After having enough of that I purchased my Black and Decker and could not be more happy with the performance. I have had it over three years now and it ...

Fantastic iron

by   carogie ,  Mar 23, 2007
Pros: Great at steaming, heating up, digital is easy to read, perfect.
Cons: none
Review: I just bought this iron as my top of the line Rowenta kept spitting all over everything. I love, love, love this Black and Decker, and wish I'd made the switch years ago. The Black and Decker takes out creases in cotton like nothing I've ever seen or ...

Still love it!

by   fordtruck63 ,  Jan 23, 2007
Pros: Irons out stubborn wrinkles
Cons: A little heavy
Review: I bought my Digital Advantage (D2030) (stainless steel plate) about a year ago and I still love it. It irons out difficult wrinkles very nicely. When I first got it, I found it to be a little heavy, but got used to it quickly, as I found I did not have ...

Great iron!

by   bizeemom ,  Apr 9, 2007
Pros: Easy to use; easy to read digital display; gets the wrinkles out.
Cons: None, except for maybe it's a little bit heavy? Not sorry I bought it.
Review: I just received my iron and used it this morning. WOW. Am I impressed! Took the wrinkles out of my cotton chinos like nobody's business. Steams beautifully, easy to read digital display and easy to use. Perfect. ...

Best iron I've had

by   sfiore ,  Apr 17, 2008
Pros: Great steam.
Cons: Turns off too soon.
Review: I'm a quilter and my irons get a lot of heavy use. This is the best iron I've had yet. In fact I bought a second one because generally as soon as I find a really good product, the manufacturer stops making it. I've had this iron a year and it ...

Best iron I've ever owned

by   mogll ,  Apr 20, 2008
Pros: Excellent steam, light wt, digital read
Cons: none
Review: For several years we used a $100 Rowenta and thought "it's got to be the best because it's a Rowenta." Wrong! The steaming was weak and it leaked resulting in off-white/yellowish stains. My wife is notorious for leaving clothes waded up in the basket ...
