Love it!

by   chefathome ,  Nov 12, 2005
Pros: Style, finish, convection oven, dual fuel, high power gas burners for searing meats
Cons: Oven controls hard to read if you wear bi-focals.
Review: I've had mine for about 1 year. Had a few minor problems in the beginning that were quickly fixed. I'm so glad I went with the Dacor instead of the Viking or Jenn-air. I have friends that have those brands and have had nothing but problems with ...

Dacor ERD30. Terrible Oven control

by   billyberu ,  Nov 7, 2005
Pros: Strikingly beautiful, excellent gas cook top, easy to clean.Convection OK.
Cons: Baking in oven a nightmare 80 deg swings. cost. enamel cracks
The Bottom Line: Not worth the money paid. Poor service!
Review: We recently built our dream home and decided not to cheap out on the appliances. So we went with what we thought was a high end range. Yes it was high end (price tag), but performance wise a $500.00 Sears jobby has better temperature control. When ...

Dacor ERD30506CH Dual Fuel Range, Very Unreliable, Poorly Engineered

by   acelamcott ,  Jan 5, 2007
Pros: Cook top OK, doesn't simmer Oven should have a tighter temperature tolerance Looks nice
Cons: -Unreliable -Poorly enginneered -Crapy customer Servive -Poor Fit
The Bottom Line: This is more a status product than anything else. Save your money and buy something from Bosch or Miele. Dacors Industrial Design: A Electrical and Mechanical: Crappy
Review: What can I say about my 4 year range. The oven temperature swing is /-35 degrees. And this was suppose to be a precise oven??? Temperature profile was done when oven was brand new using a calibrated thermalcouple. Just replaced the membrane panel at ...

Believe the reviews

by   cookingod ,  Sep 12, 2008
Pros: Pros: It looks gorgeous, but looks aren't everything.
Cons: Cons: Very small oven interior; difficult to adjust burners to simmer
The Bottom Line:

Read the reviews on other pro models and see if the extra money is really worth the risk.  A top midrange might do as well.

Review: After a horrendous experience with my Viking dual fuel (the oven temperature sensors were replaced three times to no avail), my appliance store took it back and gave me a store credit. Forced to buy what they stocked, I went for another ...

Worst mistake I've ever made

by   bakerchick ,  Jun 6, 2009
Pros: Cooktop works well and is easy to clean and the burners are a nice size.
Cons: Oven temperature never constant and too many repairs for such an expensive appliance.
The Bottom Line: I would never recommend this Dacor range to anyone. I'm never confident that anything I put in the oven is going to turn out.
Review: I've had this range for about 3 1/2 years and to date, I've never sucessfully baked anything in it.  The temperature is never constant whether I use conventional bake, convection bake, or the really worthless pure convection.  The service tech ...

by   poulsbokid ,  Dec 23, 2006
Pros: stainless only way to go no plastic to crack
Cons: customer service doesn't exists
Review: I have had 3 Dacor ranges each time I had to upgrade do to major problems with the plastic cracking I then got a full stainless steel with a electric oven and a gas broiler in the oven. Have had this one repaired 6 times with in warranty time and 2 times ...

Dacor Epicure ERD30 Dual Fuel...what a joke!! Save your money and buy another brand

by   tdworth ,  Apr 3, 2008
Pros: nice to look at...easy to clean...both regular and convectional ovens work well
Cons: front panel is plastic and continually cracks...poor customer service.no interest in your problem
Review: We have had our range for five years and have had to have the front panel replaced 4 times because it cracks. Each time we have been told that the panel has a new and better panel and will not crack but each time it cracks....this time we were told ...

No commitment to service

by   drbobgold ,  Mar 7, 2006
Pros: We like cooking with gas and baking with electric.
Cons: Prone to failures and poor customer service and support.
Review: We purchased the RSD30B12P dual fuel range and have had three major failures in ten years. It is very hard to get Dacor to return calls, or to back up the product. We have learned that many distributors have dropped the line due to customer ...

Dacor - beautifully unreliable, time to replace already!

by   tomw1999 ,  Jan 18, 2008
Pros: You know before you buy, cause you're reading this, that it's "pretty unreliable" (geddit?)
Cons: Unreliable, expensive, not backed up by company.
Review: Bought a home - it needed a stove - decided to get the best. Was led to believe that Dacor was it. Great looks. Nice controls. Etc. We *LOVED* it. Got the griddle. Got the simmer plates since it burns sauces. Simmer plates worked fine. Then the ...

"luxury lemon"...

by   chunkygeek ,  Feb 5, 2008
Pros: None...you are idiot if you think there are any Pros to buying this.
Cons: The oven itself.
Review: First of all we didn't buy this oven ourselves, I would not have made that mistake, it came with the house we bought. I cook quite a bit, 3-5 times a week sit down meals...I hate microwaves. Anyway here are the list reasons why never, ever to buy or even ...
